<p>Are you an Occupational Therapist looking to support a small caseload of students while making a meaningful impact in a mission-driven school setting?</p> <p>ABOUT THE ROLE</p> <p>As an Occupational Therapist, you'll assess students and help them develop fine and gross motor skills, posture, and movement. You'll collaborate with a multi-disciplinary team to empower students in their learning journey. This role involves consulting with teachers, providing training to parents and staff, and coordinating with community agencies. You'll travel between school sites to ensure comprehensive support, all while contributing to a culturally diverse, collaborative approach that integrates academic, behavioral, and therapeutic strategies for student success.</p> <p>ABOUT OUR NON PUBLIC SCHOOLS (NPS)</p> <p>Seneca's Nonpublic School system includes five specialized campuses-James Baldwin Academy, Catalyst Academy, Maya Angelou Academy, Pathfinder Academy, and the Bridges Program-serving K-12 students across the Bay Area with unique emotional, behavioral, and mental health needs. Each school offers integrated special education and therapeutic supports within small, relationship-centered learning environments. Whether students need long-term placement or short-term intervention, our programs meet them where they are, helping them build academic skills, emotional resilience, and self-confidence. We are committed to building a diverse staff, and our programs actively engage in conversations and training on Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion to promote equity and justice for the youth and families we serve.</p> <p>Responsibilities</p> <ul> <li>Provide occupational therapy initial assessments and reassessments for children with occupational therapy needs </li><li>Document evaluations in a thorough and professional manner </li><li>Provide in-depth occupational therapy consultation for teachers, providing professional insights for early OT interventions for their students </li><li>Provide occupational therapy services to students in support of their needs and treatment goals </li><li>Work collaboratively with other Seneca staff members including, Speech and Language Pathologists, Special Education Teachers, School Psychologists, Clinicians, and Student Support Assistants </li><li>Assist in providing in-service training in gross and fine motor skills, sensory motor regulations, as well as posture and movement to parents, teachers, administrators and other professionals </li><li>Assist in coordinating, communicating and seeking consultation with community agencies as appropriate </li></ul> <p>Qualifications</p> <ul> <li>Master's or Doctoral degree in Occupational Therapy </li><li>Current license by the California Board of Occupational Therapy </li><li>Experience with language techniques, sensory motor integration, and physical restoration </li><li>Own vehicle, valid driver's license, clean driving record </li><li>TB test clearance, fingerprinting clearance, and any other state/federal licensing or certification requirements </li></ul> <p>Schedule</p> <ul> <li>Per Diem- 10-20 hours a week (Choose your schedule!) </li><li>OR Option for part-time with benefits </li><li>School based schedule: </li><li>Anytime Monday to Friday: 8 AM- 4:30 PM </li></ul> <p>Benefits</p> <ul> <li>Starting at $41.06 - $43.56 per hour </li><li>Additional compensation provided upon passing bilingual language proficiency exam </li><li>Salary increases each year </li><li>Seneca is a Public Service Loan Forgiveness certified employer </li><li>Promotional opportunities across the agency in California and Washington </li></ul> <p>#SENECAHP</p>
