Number 15177</p> <p>Share</p> <p>more</p> <p>We are seeking an experienced Systems Test Engineer to support our growing communications system business within the technology systems market. The work location for this position is Columbia, MD.</p> <p>Your tasks</p> <ul> <li>Design, integrate, and deploy R&S Air Traffic Control (ATC) project IP based voice communications systems / subsystems to include analog protocol converters for radio and telephony, networking, and air traffic controller operator and administrator acceptance. </li><li>Develop test plans and procedures according to program statement of work, system requirements, specifications, and industry standards. </li><li>Design systems under test (SUT) / device under test (DUT) to meet testing milestones with internal and external customer coordination </li><li>Orchestrate and conduct internal and customer test events within project schedule and budget. </li><li>Create, collaborate, and review test cases with attention to requirement validation and customer satisfaction and execute them. </li><li>Provide routine internal and external customer updates on testing activities </li><li>Generate test reports, problem/defect reports, mitigation plans, and provide input to project risks. </li><li>Provide direct support to design and project teams to isolate root causes of issues, provide analysis, and implement fixes that result in compliant deliverables. </li><li>Develop necessary test automation procedures and scripts. </li><li>Work with engineering teams to maintain verification requirements traceability matrix (VRTM). </li><li>Work closely with the system test teams based in Europe, North America, and other global locations for different testing activities following project needs. </li><li>Support testing needs from project initiation to closeout, bringing a validation and customer satisfaction first mindset </li></ul> <p>Exciting insights into Rohde & Schwarz</p> <p>Our colleagues provide insider information about:</p> <ul> <li>Daily adventures and challenges </li><li>Our passionate team </li><li>The technologies behind the innovative projects and solutions </li></ul> <p>Your browser does not support the video tag</p> <p>Your qualifications</p> <ul> <li>B.S. in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, or relevant engineering degree. </li><li>5+ years of systems test experience in telecom/networking industry with strong understanding of process, development and execution of US Government test programs. </li><li>Configuring and analyzing VoIP networks, computing infrastructure, software deployments </li><li>Proficient in relevant business tools including MS Word, Excel, Visio, PowerPoint. </li><li>Proficient with requirements management tools such as DOORS, etc. </li><li>Proficient with project orchestration tools such as JIRA, Confluence, MS Teams </li><li>Proficient in Linux OS configuration, installation and debugging (CentOS or Oracle), as well as VM's. </li><li>Ability to travel to customer sites for installs and acceptance testing. </li><li>Proactive, analytical, detail-oriented and self-managed. </li><li>Comfortable working in an international team and without formal direction. </li><li>In order to be considered, candidates must reside in the US and be a US citizen capable of receiving a US Government security clearance. Beneficial experience: </li><li>Networking skills on Cisco switches or similar (Certifications like CCNA from Cisco), including knowledge on protocols such as SIP, RTP, SNMP </li><li>Configuring and analyzing VoIP networks, computing infrastructure, software deployments. </li><li>Experience with VoIP networking and telephony tools, such as wireshark, and other performance testing tools, to include WAN and SATCOM simulators </li><li>Experience with scripting tools, analysis, test and measurement equipment, such as spectrum analyzers. </li><li>Experience with configuring and testing legacy telephony circuits (SS1/4, Shout/Voice lines, Single Frequency, etc.) and related audio connections. </li><li>Familiarity with ED-137 standards </li></ul> <p>Interested?</p> <p>We are looking forward to receiving your application!</p> <p>The total compensation for this position is $105K-$150K. Total compensation includes base salary, variable pay (when applicable) plus benefits. The range is determined by the position, geographic location and level.
