<p>Job Description:</p> <p>Campus Title: Lecturer</p> <p>State Title: Lecturer</p> <p>Department: Residential Construction, School of ABT</p> <p>Bargaining Unit: UUP-08; view our units state benefits summary here!</p> <p>Professional Rank and Salary Range: $48,396 (this is the annualized salary rate and will be pro-rated based on date of hire and duration of assignment)</p> <p>Duration: Temporary, Academic Year (this position follows the 10-month academic year, on a semester-to-semester basis)</p> <p>Brief Description of Duties:</p> <p>SUNY Morrisville is seeking a temporary non-tenure track Lecturer to support our Residential Construction program!</p> <p>This position is a teaching position that provides laboratory and lecture-based support for the residential construction program and provides hands support for residential construction projects.</p> <p>Primary Responsibilities include but are not limited to:</p> <ul> <li>Supervises students in lab and lecture courses </li><li>Develops lesson plans </li><li>Training site materials and field site training requirements </li><li>Develops supporting materials as needed, emphasizes proper use of tools, hardware, equipment care, safety, and standard building practices </li><li>Will provide support for lectures and labs such as light framing, plumbing, and other residential construction courses. </li><li>Supports the operation and maintenance of the facilities, such as a safe, orderly shop and work site, maintains daily tool and equipment inventories, and oversees the maintenance/replacement of tools and equipment as necessary. </li><li>Will assist in building projects for student training purposes both on and off site. </li></ul> <p>Requirements:</p> <p>Minimum Qualifications</p> <ul> <li>Associates of Applied Science or AOS in a relevant field: construction management, residential construction or related field. </li><li>3+ years' experience in a Construction related field. </li><li>OSHA 10 Certification </li><li>Ability to work some weekends and off-campus locations as needed </li><li>Moves equipment weighing up to 50 pounds </li><li>Working outside during all seasons </li></ul> <p>Preferred Qualifications:</p> <ul> <li>Bachelor's degree in Construction Field. </li><li>OHSA 30 Certification </li></ul> <p>Additional Information:</p> <p>SUNY Morrisville is committed to creating a vibrant community enriched by diverse perspectives, talents and experiences, and prohibits discrimination in employment based on gender, race, ethnicity, nationality, physical capability, age, creed, sexual identity, veteran status, and economic means.
