The Aviation group within National Accounts is responsible for the coast-to-coast sales and related inventory position management of MPC's jet fuel position, which includes executing supply contracts, facilitating on and off airport logistics and building partnerships within the aviation space. This position will regularly interact with internal and external business partners to sell aviation fuels as dictated by refinery economics, market conditions and logistics to maximize economic margin consistent with safe supply chain operations and other MPC core values.</p> <p>This trading position should be viewed as a growth opportunity for a highly motivated individual that has a strong aptitude and a keen interest for a commercial career. This role will provide an opportunity for the successful candidate to gain an understanding of the aviation market while performing a complex and critical function.</p> <p>RESPONSIBILITIES:</p> <ul> <li>Negotiates and arranges the sale of aviation fuels as dictated by refinery economics, market conditions and logistical requirements </li><li>Initiates, develops and recommends new and existing sales strategies to achieve optimal value-add from aviation sales and logistics </li><li>Monitors customer nominations and contract compliance </li><li>Manages weekly refining update meetings within the region and provide applicable jet fuel updates </li><li>Interacts with Traders, Schedulers, Analysts and other personnel in Commercial, Refining, Product Quality, Business Development, Legal, Finance & Treasury and elsewhere.
