Work at Michigan Medicine and become a victor for the greater good.</p> <p>What Benefits can you Look Forward to?</p> <ul> <li>Excellent medical, dental and vision coverage effective on your very first day </li><li>2:1 Match on retirement savings </li></ul> <p>Responsibilities*</p> <p>Initiate and perform all phases of neonatal, pediatric and adult respiratory care.</p> <p>Required Qualifications*</p> <p>Respiratory Therapist Intermediate:</p> <ul> <li>Graduation from an AMA approved Respiratory Therapy Program, minimum Associates degree or an equivalent combination of education of experience is necessary. </li><li>Current license in respiratory therapy by the state of Michigan is necessary </li><li>Licensure and credentials must be maintained by the employee at all times during employment (both regular and temporary status positions). </li><li>Current certification in Basic Life Support (BLS), or certification within 30 days of hire </li></ul> <p>Graduate Respiratory Therapist</p> <ul> <li>College graduate with a degree in Respiratory Therapy </li><li>Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) by the National Board for Respiratory Care (NBRC) within 90 days of the date of hire. </li><li>Licensure as a Respiratory Therapist by Michigan Department of Community Health, Board of Respiratory Care within 90 days of the date of hire for new graduates (regular and temporary status positions). </li><li>Current certification in Basic Life Support (BLS), or certification within 30 days of hire </li></ul> <p>Physical Requirements: Considerable physical and mental effort in job duties, i.e., assisting patients, moving equipment, lifting, pulling, pushing, bending, twisting, walking, long periods of standing, comforting, and emotionally supporting patients and families. This position may be prone to fatigue and infrequent opportunities for relaxation.</p> <p>Desired Qualifications*</p> <ul> <li>Previous pediatric or neonatal intensive care experience. </li><li>Registration (RRT) by the National Board for Respiratory Care is preferred. </li></ul> <p>Work Schedule</p> <ul> <li>Night shift after completion of orientation </li><li>36 hour position </li></ul> <p>Modes of Work</p> <p>Positions that are eligible for hybrid or mobile/remote work mode are at the discretion of the hiring department.
