<p>Java Developer (Java/Kafka)</p> <p>Cognizant will only consider applicants for this position who are legally authorized to work in the United States</p> <p>About the role:</p> <p>Work model: Onsite</p> <p>Location: NYC, NY USA</p> <p>Responsibilities</p> <ul> <li>Strong backend developers </li><li>Design, develop, and maintain scalable and high-performance Java applications using advanced Java technologies and frameworks. </li><li>Develop and manage REST API , microservices using Spring Boot. </li><li>Build and deploy containerized applications using Docker in a cloud-native environment. </li><li>Implement event-driven architectures and work with Kafka and MQ for real-time messaging and event management. </li></ul> <p>Required Qualifications</p> <ul> <li>7 + years of hands-on experience in Java 17+ development with a strong understanding of advanced Java concepts. </li><li>Proficiency in building REST API , microservices using latest Spring Boot 3.3.5. </li><li>Hands-on experience with Docker for containerization and working in a cloud-native environment. </li><li>Strong expertise in latest Kafka and MQ for message queuing and event-driven systems. </li><li>Knowledge in Mongo DB </li><li>CICD hands on knowledge </li><li>Knowledge in Python (Optional) </li></ul> <p>Salary and compensation:</p> <p>The annual salary for this position will be between $68,000 to $114,000 depending on the experience and other qualifications of the successful candidate.
