<p>Nature of Work</p> <p>The Economic Service Worker Senior will serve as a lead worker of a unit responsible for accepting applications, determining eligibility, and managing a caseload for a variety of Family Assistance programs under the Customer Service Reporting Center for the Office of Constituent Services, Office of Shared Administration. Responsible for conducting personal interviews with clients evaluating and verifying personal financial and social information, and determining eligibility for services. This position determines initial and ongoing eligibility for all programs of assistance including, but not limited to; SNAP, Medicaid, Emergency Assistance, LIEAP, and School Clothing Allowance while meeting deadlines and complying with Federal and State policies and procedures. Requests any additional information needed, enters correctly into the computer system, and ensures accurate and timely receipt of benefits to recipients. To receive an email notice anytime jobs in this or other categories are posted, you may choose to complete aJob Interest Cardfrom the slide-out menu located at the top left of ourJob Opportunitiespage.</p> <p>Minimum Qualifications</p> <p>Training:Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university.</p> <p>OR</p> <p>Full-time or equivalent part-time paid experience performing customer service, telemarketing, retail, or clerical work may substitute for the required training at the rate of one (1) year for every thirty (30) semester hours of training.</p> <p>OR</p> <p>Additional experience as defined below may substitute for the training at the rate of one (1) year for every thirty (30) semester hours of training.</p> <p>AND</p> <p>Experience:Two (2) years of full-time or equivalent part-time paid employment in a public or private social welfare agency or related experience in interviewing or evaluating claimants for assistance, veteran's or unemployment benefits, insurance or similar programs operating under established criteria for eligibility.</p> <p>OR</p> <p>Substitution:Graduate coursework from an accredited college or university may substitute for the required experience at the rate of fifteen (15) semester hours of training for every one (1) year of experience.</p> <p>AND</p> <p>Special Requirement:A valid driver's license may be required.</p> <ul> <li>The Division of Personnel uses your complete work history to qualify you for positions.
