<p>Summary: The Blair College of Health at Queens University of Charlotte invites applications for an adjunct (part-time) faculty position in Presbyterian School of Nursing, beginning August 2025. The Adjunct Clinical Nursing Instructor is responsible for providing clinical instruction and supervision to nursing students in various healthcare settings. This role supports students in applying theoretical knowledge to real-world nursing practice while fostering the development of critical thinking, clinical judgment, and professional behavior.</p> <p>This position is exempt from provisions of the Fair Labor Standards Act (FLSA) and is not eligible to earn overtime pay or compensatory time off for additional hours worked. This position is not eligible for visa sponsorship.</p> <p>Experience, Knowledge and Skills Required:</p> <ul> <li>Supervise and instruct students in various clinical environments such as hospitals, community health settings, and the simulation lab. </li><li>Teach and evaluate students on essential nursing skills, including patient care, documentation, communication, and adherence to safety protocols. </li><li>Ensure clinical learning experiences align with course learning outcomes and accreditation standards. </li><li>Attend required School of Nursing and clinical unit orientations and faculty development meetings. </li><li>Complete required compliance tasks by the specified deadlines. </li><li>Conduct post-clinical conferences to review objectives, reflect on clinical experiences, and discuss professional practice. </li><li>Provide timely, constructive feedback and complete student evaluations in accordance with program policies. </li><li>Model professional and ethical behavior at all times. </li><li>Communicate effectively with students, faculty, and clinical staff. </li><li>Report student performance concerns or clinical site issues to the course Lead Faculty or BSN Program Chair. </li></ul> <p>Minimum Qualifications:</p> <ul> <li>Current, unencumbered Registered Nurse (RN) license in North Carolina. </li><li>Minimum of 2 years recent clinical nursing experience. </li><li>Master's degree in nursing or one semester from graduating from an MSN program. </li><li>CPR certification and any required health/immunization records in compliance with clinical site policies. </li></ul> <p>Preferred Qualifications:</p> <ul> <li>Prior teaching or precepting experience. </li><li>Experience with electronic health records (EHRs). </li></ul> <p>Application Process</p> <p>Does this sound like a good fit?
