<p>Midland University, a private liberal-arts college in Fremont, Nebraska, (just outside of metro Omaha) is</p> <p>seeking an exceptional Chemistry Lab Coordinator for 15 hours/week. This position supports the</p> <p>instructional operations of the Chemistry courses by managing laboratory operations, maintaining</p> <p>chemical inventories, ensuring safety compliance, and assisting faculty and students in the preparation</p> <p>and delivery of laboratory courses. This position has significant safety and chemical hygiene</p> <p>requirements and will work to ensure proper and legal management of chemicals and waste.</p> <p>Responsibilities will include but are not be limited to:</p> <p>? Prepare and set up materials and equipment for undergraduate Chemistry lab courses</p> <p>? Manage inventory of chemicals, glassware, and instrumentation</p> <p>? Oversee safe handling, storage, and disposal of chemical waste</p> <p>? Ensure compliance with safety standards</p> <p>? Maintain laboratory instruments and coordinate repairs or calibration as needed</p> <p>? Train and supervise Chemistry work study student workers</p> <p>? Maintain lab documentation and safety records (SDS, training logs, etc.)</p> <p>? Assist in budget planning and procurement of supplies and equipment</p> <p>? Maintain laboratory cleanliness and organization</p> <p>? Maintains detailed working knowledge of all assigned lab procedures as they relate to sample</p> <p>preparation, safety guidelines, and waste disposal</p> <p>? Other duties as may be assigned by the Academic Affairs office</p> <p>Qualifications:</p> <p>? Bachelor's Degree in Chemistry from an accredited institution</p> <p>o Master's in Chemistry strongly preferred</p> <p>? Knowledge of chemical safety protocols and regulatory compliance</p> <p>? Experience with common Chemistry lab instruments and techniques</p> <p>The ideal candidate will possess the following:</p> <p>?
