<p>Job Description:</p> <p>Budget Title: Senior Admissions Advisor</p> <p>Campus Title: Transfer Articulation Coordinator</p> <p>Unit: Undergraduate Admissions</p> <p>Professional Rank and Salary: SL-4; $65,290 DOQ</p> <p>Location: Syracuse</p> <p>Description of Duties:</p> <p>SUNY ESF invites applicants for Transfer Articulation Coordinator, This position has the responsibility for reviewing and processing new and current student's external credentials to confirm articulation and evaluation of potential transfer credit. Provides guidance and excellent customer service to students, faculty and staff on degree requirements which requires a high degree of academic and curriculum policy knowledge. The Transfer Articulation Coordinator works directly with students to help identify potential transfer credit opportunities, oversees communications with department chairs, faculty, staff and representatives from other colleges and universities as necessary to determine the course equivalencies for ESF degree requirements. They communicate policy or procedure changes and maintain data related to transfer credit articulation. This position will require working with students and co-workers from a wide range of abilities, backgrounds, and experiences.</p> <p>Primary duties and responsibilities include, but are not limited to the following:</p> <ul> <li>Research and analyze transfer credit materials from domestic and international colleges and universities and other sources of college level course work to determine appropriate course equivalency according to institutional and departmental polices. Will update individual student records with all course work from all colleges & universities attended and college catalogs with course equivalencies in Banner & Degree Works. </li><li>Maintain the college's online Transfer Articulation Guidelines of course equivalencies for all ESF undergraduate programs from approximately 40 partner institutions. Curricular and course changes for both ESF and the partner colleges must be monitored on a regular basis for accuracy in academic advising for prospective transfer students. Make regular contact with appropriate staff at partner colleges who can advise on curricular and course changes. </li><li>Contribute to the development and maintenance of enrollment technology tools (e.g. Slate, Banner, Degree Works and ESF Transfer Articulation Guidelines) and understand the relationships between platforms. Be able to build ad hoc reports using available query and data visualization products for internal and external audiences. </li><li>Represent ESF Undergraduate Admissions in all articulation discussions with domestic and international partner colleges and universities. Develop new program-to-program articulation agreements, both domestic and international, in cooperation with ESF Faculty. </li><li>Consult ESF staff and program advisors regarding interpretation and implementation of ESF transfer articulation policies and degree requirements. </li><li>Serve as primary point of contact and resource for prospective and enrolled students, faculty and administration related to transfer credit, including internal transfer between ESF bachelor's and associate degree programs. </li><li>Assist in developing and maintaining web presence and communication campaigns related to transfer articulation. </li><li>Represent the Office of Undergraduate Admissions in an Ex Officio capacity on the Academic Affairs Committee of Academic Governance. </li><li>Provide support for other Undergraduate Admissions functions including application review, recruitment visits to ESF Cooperative Colleges and other community colleges, on-campus and off-campus recruitment events. </li><li>Liaise with Registrar's Office, Bursar's Office, Financial Aid, Institutional Research and Assessment, and others, as needed. </li></ul> <p>Requirements:</p> <p>Required Qualifications:</p> <ul> <li>Bachelor's degree </li><li>Two or more years of experience in higher education, preferably in undergraduate admissions, transfer services, enrollment management, registrar's office or academic affairs </li><li>Experience working with Banner, Degree Works, Slate or similar Student Information System </li><li>Experience in evaluating U.S. and international college transcripts and other sources of transfer credit, such as AP, IB, CLEP, ACE and military education programs </li><li>Proficient use of Microsoft Office or similar applications </li><li>High-level data entry skills and attention to detail </li><li>Valid NYS driver's license </li></ul> <p>Preferred Qualifications:</p> <ul> <li> <p>Increasing levels of responsibility as a credit evaluator, student advisor or curriculum specialist</p> </li><li> <p>Familiarity with policies, procedures, laws and regulations pertaining to institutions of higher education</p> </li><li> <p>Demonstrated ability to develop documentation of and deliver effective training in transfer articulation procedures</p> </li><li> <p>Support ESF's commitment to a sustainable and carbon-neutral campus</p> </li><li> <p>Demonstrated commitment to improving access to higher education</p> </li><li> <p>Demonstrates respect for people and their differences, earns the trust and respect of others, works to understand the perspective of others and promotes opportunities to experience diversity within the ESF community</p> </li></ul> <p>Additional Information:</p> <p>In accordance with the Jeanne Clery Disclosure of Campus Security Policy and Campus Crime Statistics Act" institutions of higher education are required to prepare an annual report containing information on campus security policies and campus statistics. This report includes statistics for the previous three years concerning reported crimes that occurred on-campus; in certain off-campus buildings or property owned or controlled by SUNY-ESF; and on property within, or immediately adjacent to and accessible from the campus. The report also includes institutional policies concerning campus security, such as policies concerning sexual assault, and other matters.
