<p>Meskwaki Settlement School<\/span><\/p>\n</p> <p>Meskwaki Language Teacher<\/span><\/strong><\/p>\n</p> <p>Duties and Responsibilities:<\/span><\/h1>\nShall be responsible for the daily operation, development, and implementation of the Meskwaki Language\/Culture in the classroom, including teaching traditional Meskwaki values and related areas. Plan and organize the learning activities of the class with due regard to the individual differences and needs of the students.<\/span><\/p>\n\nMaintain order in the classroom and school premises, consistent with the Meskwaki Settlement School PBIS guidelines.<\/span><\/li>\nPrepare unit plans and lessons for the class, in accordance with the Meskwaki Language & Culture Curriculum.<\/span><\/li>\nEvaluate each child's progress and plan instructional methods accordingly.<\/span><\/li>\nMaintain all necessary records and enter grades for each student quarterly and at the end of each semester.<\/span><\/li>\nDevelop and maintain a positive learning environment for the utmost learning of each student.<\/span><\/li>\nAttend student conferences and report regularly to the parent\/guardian in regard to their child's progress, as needed.<\/span><\/li>\nWork with general education teachers to incorporate Meskwaki Language & Culture into general education units and lessons.<\/span><\/li>\nAttend all required staff meetings and professional development as directed by the Administration.<\/span><\/li>\nSign up for and carry out duties for extra-curricular events.<\/span><\/li>\nPlan and assist with Language\/Cultural activities through the school year.<\/span><\/li>\nEstablish and maintain favorable relationships with tribal and local community groups.<\/span><\/li>\nEncourage the use of the Meskwaki language school-wide<\/span><\/li>\n Comply with all employment-related policies, including but not limited to, the Staff Handbook.<\/span><\/li>\nOn a continuous basis, work with Language Staff members on materials and methods to continually improve the learning opportunities of all children.<\/span><\/li>\nOther duties as assigned.<\/span><\/li>\n<\/ul>\nRequirements:<\/span><\/h1>\n\nMinimum of a high school diploma or GED. Prefer AA Degree or equivalent post-secondary education.<\/span><\/li>\nPrefer the ability to speak, read and\/or write Meskwaki Language fluently.<\/span><\/li>\nWorking knowledge of the Meskwaki Language\/Culture<\/span><\/li>\nMust pass a background check in accordance with Public Law 101-630, Public Law 101- 647, and the Indian Child Protection and Family Violence Prevention Act.<\/span><\/li>\nMust possess a valid driver's license.<\/span><\/li>\nMust pass a pre-employment drug screen.<\/span><\/li>\n<\/ul>\nSupervision: <\/span>Language Coordinator<\/span><\/p>\nSalary:<\/span> Dependent on Qualifications<\/span><\/p>\nPOSITION OPEN UNTIL FILLED<\/span><\/p>","</p>
