<p>Hiring Ranges:</p> <p>Level I: $15.90 - $19.87 Hourly</p> <p>Level II: $18.40 - $23.00 Hourly</p> <ul> <li>Must be located in the greater Northern Colorado area; no relocation assistance is offered for this position. </li></ul> <p>Job Summary:</p> <p>The City of Greeley is seeking a part-time, term limited Intern to assist with administrative and project support duties for the High Performance Government Department at the City of Greeley. As an Intern, you will report directly to the Director of High Performance Government and work with the Project Team on assignments needed for the City of Greely. The position is term limited for the duration of the Customer Experience Project and is funded for approximately 6 months unless additional funding is obtained at a later date.</p> <p>The Intern will work approximately 20-25 hours per week during normal working hours (8a-5p, Monday through Friday), not to exceed 29 hours per week. This is a paid position designed for a student currently enrolled in a four-year college/university program.</p> <p>Experience, Knowledge, and Skills:</p> <p>Minimum Requirements:</p> <ul> <li>Must be at least 18 years of age </li><li>Valid, unrestricted driver's license with at least two (2) years of driving history with a clean record in order to drive for the City </li><li>High school diploma or equivalent </li><li>Basic typing and computer skills required </li><li>Familiarity with Microsoft Office programs (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, etc.) </li><li>Must be able to successfully pass pre-employment drug screening, Motor Vehicle Record check, and a background check. </li></ul> <p>Level I:</p> <ul> <li>Currently enrolled in a four-year college/University in Business, Public Administration, or a closely related field. </li></ul> <p>Level II:</p> <ul> <li>Completion of at least two years at a four-year college/University program in Business, Public Administration, or a closely related field. </li></ul> <p>OR,</p> <p>A combination of related education, experience, certifications, and licenses that will result in a candidate successfully performing the essential functions of the job may be considered by the hiring authority.</p> <p>Preferred Requirements:</p> <ul> <li>Experience working with Oracle Cloud preferred, but not required. </li></ul> <p>Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:</p> <ul> <li>Computer skills, including the ability to utilize Microsoft Office programs (i.e. Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, etc.) and learn and experiment with new software and systems. </li><li>Proofreading, grammar, punctuation, and formatting skills, including the ability maintain consistency and be cognizant of and address details. </li><li>Ability to navigate multiple on-line platforms. </li><li>Ability to present oneself professionally in appearance, demeanor, and effort. </li><li>Ability to prioritize work, meet deadlines, and stay on task when completing special projects and daily assignments. </li><li>Ability to maintain a strong work ethic, positive problem-solving attitude, and enthusiasm for the work performed. </li><li>Ability to self-start and take initiative in completing daily tasks and special projects. </li><li>Ability to work independently with minimal supervision and reliable professional judgment, as well as collaboratively with a team to achieve desired results. </li><li>Ability to communicate and work effectively with individuals from diverse backgrounds, cultures, and ages. </li><li>Ability to work under pressure, manage multiple concurrent and competing tasks and responsibilities, and adapt to changing priorities while maintaining personal effectiveness. </li><li>Collaboration skills, including the ability to work with others from different areas and backgrounds to reach a common goal. </li><li>Interpersonal skills, including the ability to facilitate interaction, communication, and teamwork between others. </li><li>Oral, written, and listening communication skills, including the ability to accurately interpret what others are saying and convey messages, information, concepts, and details accurately and clearly. </li></ul> <p>Essential Functions (Duties and Responsibilities):</p> <ul> <li>Assists with scanning, filing, and other miscellaneous office tasks. </li><li>Assists with projects as assigned. </li><li>Assists with drafting of communications and taking minutes at meetings. </li><li>Performs other duties as assigned. </li></ul> <p>Travel: Approximately 10% flexible, local travel required.</p> <p>Supervisory Duties: NA</p> <p>Work Environment and Physical Requirements:</p> <ul> <li>The position is in an office environment. </li><li>Frequent contact with others. </li><li>Vision enough to read computer screens and written documents to complete work assignments. </li><li>Communication skills enough to convey information verbally and in writing. </li><li>Manual dexterity enough to accurately input, retrieve, and verify information at fixed workstation. </li></ul> <p>EOE Statement: The City of Greeley provides equal employment opportunities to all employees and applicants for employment and prohibits discrimination and harassment of any type without regard to race, color, religion, age, sex, national origin, disability status, genetics, protected veteran status, sexual orientation, gender identity or expression, or any other characteristic protected by federal, state, or local laws.</p> <p>This policy applies to all terms and conditions of employment, including recruiting, hiring, placement, promotion, termination, layoff, recall, transfer, leaves of absence, compensation, and training.</p> <p>ADA Statement: We are committed to an inclusive and barrier-free search process.
