Caters to and services the ever-growing Spanish speaking community at UI Health. The overall function is to provide, monitor and assure high quality service to our patients.</p> <p>Duties & Responsibilities:</p> <ul> <li>Registers and processes imaging orders utilizing Epic. </li><li>Greets inpatients/visitors and ascertains their needs regarding their diagnostic service </li><li>Retrieves and process requests. </li><li>Schedules patients for imaging examinations via phone and in person utilizing specific imaging protocols and instructions. Coordinates appointments with clinics. </li><li>Ascertains that patients receive appropriate instructions either verbal or written for the specific examination. </li><li>Confers with other sections and/or departments to attain quality and timely service for patients and physicians. </li><li>Utilize phone etiquette when answering all incoming/out-going calls regarding patient service. </li><li>Responds to routine inquiries from clients in order to provide or clarify information on departmental services, policies and procedures. </li><li>Resolves customer complaints and refers unresolved customer grievances to designated personnel for further investigation </li><li>Assists Spanish-speaking patients and visitors by completing all necessary customer service duties in Spanish. </li><li>Perform other related duties and participate in special projects as assigned. </li></ul> <p>Minimum Qualifications Required:</p> <ol> <li> <p>High school diploma or equivalent.</p> </li><li> <p>Any one or combination totaling eighteen (18) months from the following categories:</p> </li></ol> <p>A. college coursework in any discipline as measured by the following conversion table or its proportional equivalent:</p> <ul> <li>30 semester hours equals one (1) year (12 months) </li><li>Associate's Degree (60 semester hours) equals eighteen months (18 months) </li><li>90 semester hours equals two (2) years (24 months) </li><li>Bachelor's degree (120 semester hours) equals three (3) years (36 months) </li></ul> <p>B. responsible work experience in customer services, public relations, office administration, business and financial operations, healthcare administration or other closely related experience</p> <ol start="3"> <li>Must be able to communicate effectively (written and verbal) in both English and Spanish </li></ol> <p>Preferred Qualifications:</p> <ul> <li>Customer service experience, EPIC- scheduling and registration experience.
