Headquartered in Atlanta Georgia Novelis has approximately 13000 employees in 32 operating facilities on 4 continents.</p> <p>Responsibilities & Qualifications</p> <p>Purpose of the role</p> <p>While following an established production schedule, order to produce product that meets internal quality standards and customer specifications ensuring customer satisfaction and continuous improvement.</p> <p>Responsibilities:</p> <p>Maintain a safe working environment by complying with policies and state and federal regulations; participate in monthly safety meetings; support safety programs Process scrap loads in accordance with production schedules Inspect loads of scrap for hazards prior to use Operate powered industrial trucks to charge aluminum scrap into rotary furnaces Perform other duties as assigned</p> <p>Knowledge, Skills and Experience</p> <p>Education and Experience</p> <p>A high school diploma or equivalent is required. Two or more years of experience in a heavy industrial environment strongly preferred.</p> <p>Required Skills</p> <p>Ability to safely and efficiently operate powered industrial trucks. Ability to read and comprehend instructions and correspondence. Ability to write simple correspondence. Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals.</p> <p>Preferred Skills</p> <p>Decision Making</p> <p>Must possess decision making and problem solving skills, including the ability to solve problems while exhibiting practical judgment and realistic understanding of the issues involved. Must be able to overcome obstacles and find reasonable resolutions to situations on a case by case basis as encountered. Must have the ability and confidence to make decisions relating to role's accountabilities. Must be able to recognize data needed in order to make decisions, collect that data, and analyze in order to determine direction in which to proceed.</p> <p>Location Profile</p> <p>Opened in 1985 the Uhrichsville facility produces flat rolled aluminum sheet. The rolling mill cold rolls aluminum sheet to a desired gauge anneals to temper levels and slits the rolled sheet to size. Employing more than 350 people the facility produces aluminum sheet for building and construction automotive distribution transportation and consumer durable applications.</p>
