<p>Job Description:</p> <p>SUMMARY</p> <p>The Nursing Supervisor provides coordination, supervision and evaluation of nursing services for the Woodbridge School District, a PreK-6 school district of approximately 170 permanent active employees and approximately 870 students, as well as direct school nursing services as a member of the nursing team at Beecher Road School.</p> <p>RESPONSIBILITIES:</p> <ul> <li>Develops and implements school health services protocols for district students, employees, and visitors, including as related to required health assessments and immunizations </li><li>Coordinates standing orders and supplies for medications and emergency medical conditions in consultation with District Medical Advisor </li><li>Develops and implements health services professional development for district staff in adherence with federal and state statutes, health and safety regulations, and district policies and procedures </li><li>Hires, trains, supervises, and evaluates nursing staff in adherence with federal and state statutes, health and safety regulations, and district policies and procedures </li><li>Provides direct school nursing services in adherence with federal and state statutes, health and safety regulations, and district policies and procedures </li><li>Collaborates with district administrators, school staff, District Medical Advisor, and local health department in relation to health needs of the district, its students, and its staff </li><li>Develops and monitors district budget for nursing services </li><li>Serves as custodian of school health records in adherence with federal and state statutes, health and safety regulations, and district policies and procedures </li></ul> <p>EDUCATION AND/OR EXPERIENCE</p> <p>Required:</p> <ul> <li>Current licensure as a registered nurse (RN) in the State of Connecticut, with up-to-date CPR certification </li><li>At least three (3) years of full-time school health services experience </li></ul> <p>Preferred:</p> <ul> <li>Bachelor's degree in Nursing </li><li>Prior school health services supervisory experience </li></ul> <p>SALARY AND BENEFITS</p> <p>This position is a full-time, school-year unaffiliated position at an hourly rate of $47.00.
