<p>The purpose of this role is to support essential benefit efforts for the Asia/Pacific Areas (Asia, Asia North, Philippines, Pacific) requiring expert professional knowledge. Employees at this level work with a high degree of latitude, have expert knowledge, and handle the most complex issues and problems. This role reports to Senior Manager, Global HR Benefits with frequent partnerships with Human Resource department and area leaders and teams, COEs, external vendors, and executive councils such as the Presiding Bishopric and HRC as needed.</p> <p>Accountable to deliver the following essential activities to the Asia/Pacific Areas (Asia, Asia North, Philippines, Pacific):</p> <ul> <li>Area Total Rewards reviews </li></ul> <p>o Provide subject matter expertise on assigned region, related products, and practices</p> <ul> <li>Business requirements and technology rollouts - Total Rewards </li></ul> <p>o Collaborate and support</p> <ul> <li>Organization wide benefit executive presentations </li></ul> <p>o Collaborate in reviewing, refining, and presenting</p> <ul> <li>Global benefit offerings aligned to market and Church philosophy </li></ul> <p>o Conduct market research by country</p> <ul> <li>Benefits coordination and process governance (Headquarters, Area Leadership, and Legal Compliance) </li><li>Compensation & Benefits Salary Survey Requests, Analysis, & Contract/Vendor Relationship Management </li></ul> <p>o Coordinate completion of survey requests and analyses</p> <p>o Manage vendor relationships and contracts, including health insurance, life insurance, retirement, and disability service vendors.</p> <ul> <li>Leave governance and escalated appeals </li><li>Conduct regular audit of benefits approvals </li><li>Oversees and manages benefits providers service level agreements (including TPA) </li><li>Train and coach Area HR to present at executive councils </li><li>Multi-country group health and welfare plan management </li><li>Defined benefit plan valuation coordination, including working with outside consultants, vendors, boards, and trustees </li><li>Employee travel medical plan management (Global) </li><li>Vendor coordination for benefits (DMBA International) </li><li>Benefits Philosophy: Outreach and Training </li><li>Benefits analysis proactive rotation </li><li>Peer review presentations for senior leadership </li><li>Retirement plan hardship allowance review </li><li>Non-US Retirement Plan Management </li><li>Launch new benefits plans as needed by country. </li><li>Subject matter expertise on assigned region, related products, and practices </li></ul> <p>Required:</p> <ul> <li>Bachelor's degree in a related field </li><li>7 years industry-related experience </li><li>Deep HR operational knowledge </li><li>Familiarity with best practices of HR functions </li><li>Proficiency with Microsoft Office/Microsoft 365 Programs (PowerPoint, Word, Excel) </li><li>Key skills and core competencies include the ability to: </li></ul> <p>o Build relationships</p> <p>o Consult with business leaders</p> <p>o Deliver excellent customer service</p> <p>o Lead and implement organizational change</p> <p>o Communicate effectively in writing and verbally through influence and compromise</p> <p>o Analyze data</p> <p>o Counsel together</p> <ul> <li>To successfully perform the essential functions of the job there may be physical requirements which need to be met such as sitting for extended periods of time and using computer monitors/equipment. Additionally, must be able to adjust work schedule to accommodate global work in various time-zones. </li></ul> <p>Preferred:</p> <ul> <li>Strong preference for experience in Benefits Design and Administration, including experience with health plans, retirement plans, life insurance, and disability insurance </li><li>Master's degree in a related field </li><li>Certified Benefit Professional </li><li>Proficiency in a second language (especially Spanish or French) </li></ul>
