<p>Job Summary</p> <p>We are seeking a skilled HVAC Service Technician to join our team, providing expert maintenance and repair services for a variety of commercial and industrial HVAC systems. The ideal candidate will possess strong HVAC/mechanical knowledge, experience with various heating and cooling systems, and the ability to interpret schematics and HVAC design plans. Knowledge of plumbing and electrical systems is a plus. This role involves field service work across different commercial and industrial settings, ensuring optimal operation of air conditioning units, boilers, refrigeration systems, and other mechanical equipment. A valid driver's license is required to facilitate travel between job sites. The technician will play a vital role in maintaining property systems and ensuring customer satisfaction through reliable service.</p> <p>Duties</p> <ul> <li>Perform maintenance, and repair of HVAC systems and related mechanical equipment. </li><li>Diagnose issues using schematics, HVAC design plans, and diagnostic tools such as ohmmeters, refrigeration testing equipment, etc. </li><li>Troubleshoot electrical components and mechanical systems to identify faults and implement effective solutions. </li><li>Maintain detailed service records and ensure all work complies with safety standards and building codes. </li><li>Assist with property maintenance tasks related to HVAC/R systems to optimize system performance. </li><li>Operate various tools and machinery including power tools, diagnostic instruments, and hand tools for routine maintenance or emergency repairs. </li><li>Ensure all work areas are clean, safe, and organized following company protocols. </li></ul> <p>Experience</p> <ul> <li>Proven experience as a service technician in HVAC/R or related fields such as construction, property maintenance, or appliance repair. </li><li>Strong mechanical knowledge with hands-on experience with various heating/air conditioning and mechanical systems , and equipment repair. </li><li>Familiarity with schematics, HVAC design principles, and field service procedures. </li><li>Experience working with plumbing, electrical, and ammonia refrigeration systems is a plus. </li><li>Ability to operate a variety of HVAC diagnostic tools effectively. </li><li>Prior welding or boiler maintenance experience is a plus. </li><li>Mechanical background within the property maintenance field a plus. </li></ul> <p>Technical Skill Set</p> <p>Significant experience (8 - 10+) and familiarity with multiple commercial/industrial HVAC system types such as, but not limited to:</p> <ul> <li>Standard DX heating and cooling packaged units, split systems, etc. </li><li>Geothermal systems </li><li>VRF systems </li><li>Hydronic heating, cooling, and process systems </li><li>Boilers </li><li>Gas heating systems </li><li>Ventilation systems </li><li>HVAC controls </li><li>Chillers, cooling towers, etc. a plus </li></ul> <p>General Skill Set</p> <ul> <li>Strong trouble shooting skills </li><li>Reliable and punctual </li><li>Proven approach to assessing, diagnosing, and repairing various HVAC system needs, equipment failures, etc. </li><li>Driven to find and implement effective solutions for customer's HVAC needs </li><li>Maintains a 'work safe and efficient' attitude </li><li>Comfortable using IT equipment (phones, tablets, computers) </li><li>Good driving record </li></ul> <p>Soft Skill Set</p> <ul> <li>Ability to work within a team of people of different work backgrounds, skill sets, experience, etc. </li><li>Effective communicator with customers, fellow employees/managers, factory/technical support representatives, etc. </li><li>Flexible attitude in working for existing customers, on construction sites, various commercial/industrial settings (small percentage of residential) </li><li>Positive attitude/approach to their work </li><li>Able to maintain a positive and professional attitude while engaging all customer types </li><li>Maintains a professional physical appearance </li><li>Operates with an 'always learning' approach to their work </li><li>Willing to teach and mentor other team members </li><li>Ability to communicate effectively both verbally and electronically (phone, email, etc.) </li></ul> <p>Physical Job Needs</p> <ul> <li>Comfortable working in various physical environments </li><li>Industrial plants, office buildings, homes, etc. </li><li>Roof tops, attics, basements, etc. </li><li>Hot and cold weather </li><li>Able to lift 50+ pounds at times </li><li>Willing and able to be 'on call' </li><li>Comfortable working at various heights </li></ul> <p>Pay: From $80,000.00 per year</p> <p>Benefits:</p> <ul> <li>401(k) </li><li>Dental insurance </li><li>Employee assistance program </li><li>Health insurance </li><li>Health savings account </li><li>Life insurance </li><li>Paid time off </li><li>Parental leave </li><li>Vision insurance </li></ul> <p>Work Location: In person</p>
