<p>Budget Title Parking Services Attendant Campus Title Parking Services Attendant School/Division Student Affairs, Division of Department University Police Office Staff Sub-Type Staff & Administration Salary Level SG005 Salary Range $16.43/hr Salary Determination</p> <p>Starting salary rates are based on multiples factors which may include the position's major responsibilities, the applicant's background including education, work experience, and key competencies, the university's strategic priorities, internal peer equity and external market analyses, applicable federal, state, and local laws and negotiated labor contracts.</p> <p>Position Effort Full-Time If Part-Time, enter FTE: Is this a temporary position? No If Temporary, enter End Date: Position Summary</p> <p>This position will assist in managing pedestrian and vehicle traffic on campus and will patrol to enforce parking rules and regulations. It will also support building security across campus outside of the fall and spring semesters.</p> <p>The work schedule for this position is Monday-Friday, 7:15 a.m. to 3:45 p.m. during the fall and spring semesters. Outside of the fall and spring semesters, the schedule will be Monday-Friday, 12:00 p.m. to 8:30 p.m.</p> <ul> <li>Please note: This is a full-time, temporary position with the possibility of becoming permanent. Experience Cortland dives deep into the region's offerings </li></ul> <p>Major Responsibilities</p> <p>Pedestrian Crossing</p> <ul> <li>Assist pedestrians with safely crossing high traffic locations throughout campus. </li><li>Assist students, faculty, staff and visitors with directions to campus locations. </li><li>Direct vehicular traffic in order to assist with pedestrian safety. </li></ul> <p>Enforce Parking Rules</p> <ul> <li>Monitor campus parking lots for non-compliant parking violations and issue tickets as appropriate. Monitor ADA- designated spaces, metered parking spaces, and fire lanes for vehicles not in compliance with the parking rules and ticket as appropriate. </li><li>Enforcement activity will be focused on two parking lots located in the center of North Campus. </li></ul> <p>Special Event Parking Management</p> <ul> <li>Assist with the management of special event parking. </li><li>Provide coverage for events outside of normal work hours as needed. </li><li>Assist in setting up and taking down barricades. </li></ul> <p>Building security</p> <ul> <li>Secure doors of buildings throughout campus as directed by police supervisor. </li></ul> <p>Meters and Signage</p> <ul> <li>Maintain parking meters and collect coinage from them when needed. </li><li>Set up and take down signage when needed. </li></ul> <p>Functional and Supervisory Relationships</p> <p>Reports to the Assistant Director of Parking Operations.</p> <p>Required Qualifications</p> <p>Must be in possession of a valid NYS Driver's License, be able to stand and/or walk for long periods of time, work in inclement weather, and be able to lift heavy objects up to 30 pounds.
