In this role, you can make a lasting difference in the lives of patients, all while enhancing your nursing skills through hands-on experience and numerous educational resources offered within the Cleveland Clinic system.</p> <p>A caregiver in this position works 8:00am to 4:30pm with rotating evenings and weekends.</p> <p>This position would be rooming with adults and pediatrics.</p> <p>A caregiver who excels in this role will:</p> <ul> <li>Provide patient care activities under the direction of an RN and/or physician. </li><li>Collect and document objective and subjective data and observations about patients. </li><li>Complete nursing assessments and report all data. </li><li>Implement the current nursing care plan, medication or treatment and communicate patients' responses. </li><li>Observe patients for adverse reactions to medications or treatments. </li><li>Perform routine laboratory tests. </li><li>Educate patients and family members. </li></ul> <p>Minimum qualifications for the ideal future caregiver include:</p> <ul> <li>Graduate of an approved school of Practical Nursing </li><li>Current Ohio license as a Licensed Practice Nurse (LPN) </li><li>Basic Life Support (BLS) Certification through the American Heart Association (AHA) or Red Cross </li></ul> <p>Preferred qualifications for the ideal future caregiver include:</p> <ul> <li>One year of patient care experience </li></ul> <p>Physical Requirements:</p> <ul> <li>Requires full body motion to move and lift patients, manual finger dexterity with good hand-eye coordination, involves extensive standing walking and occasional lifting. </li><li>Requires corrected vision and hearing to normal range. </li><li>Requires working under stressful conditions or working irregular hours. </li><li>Requires some exposure to communicable diseases or body fluids. </li><li>Medium Work - Exerting 20 to 50 pounds of force occasionally, and/or 10 to 25 pounds of force frequently, and/or greater than negligible up to 10 pounds of force constantly to move objects. </li><li>Physical Demand requirements are in excess of those for Light Work. </li></ul> <p>Personal Protective Equipment:</p> <ul> <li>Follows standard precautions using personal protective equipment as required. </li></ul> <p>Pay Range</p> <p>Minimum hourly: $23.25</p> <p>Maximum hourly: $33.50</p> <p>The pay range displayed on this job posting reflects the anticipated range for new hires.
