<p>Nature of Work</p> <p>1 vacancy</p> <p>Kanawha County</p> <p>This position is critical for maintaining compliance and fiscal efficiency. It performs compliance audits across 118 nursing homes, 30+ WV district offices, and 2,000+ purchasing card holders (State purchasing card program).</p> <p>Key Duties:</p> <ul> <li>Serves as an auditor of financial and statistical reports for nursing homes (nursing home costreports). </li><li>Prepares financial reports for both internal and external parties. </li><li>Monitors auditor contracts. </li><li>Participates in district office financial clerk reviews. </li><li>Handles cost report receipt, tracking, and reporting. </li><li>Participates in calculating rate adjustments resulting from nursing home cost audit report audits (under supervision). </li></ul> <p>Essential Knowledge Base:</p> <ul> <li>WV Medicaid provider manuals, rules, and regulations. </li><li>Rate setting methodologies utilized by Office of Accountability and Management Reporting. </li><li>Provider industry developments and standards. </li></ul> <p>Selected candidates who agree to work for a minimum of twelve (12) months may be eligible to receive a $5,000 appointment incentive. This incentive does not apply to current employees of the State of WV.</p> <p>Click The APPLY Link To Apply Online.</p> <p>Minimum Qualifications</p> <p>Training:Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university with at least 24 semester hours in accounting.</p> <p>AND</p> <p>Experience:Two (2) years of full-time or equivalent part-time paid experience in professional accounting, statutory accounting or auditing work.</p> <p>OR</p> <p>Substitutions:(1) Master's degree in accounting may substitute for the required experience. (2) Certification or registration as a Public Accountant in West Virginia may be substituted for the training and required experience.</p>
