<p>Position Overview</p> <p>Under general supervision is responsible for providing chemical dependency assessment and/or treatment according to established policies and procedures. Assists in creating and fostering an environment conducive to the treatment, operational and administrative goals and mission of the MonDay Program.</p> <p>Summary of Job Duties</p> <p>Clinical Program:</p> <ul> <li>Assists in planning, developing, implementing, and overseeing a clinical program for residents. </li><li>Assesses residents for clinical problems. </li><li>Develops and implements treatment plans to meet individual needs of residents. </li><li>Monitors and modifies treatment plans as needed according to residents' progress. </li><li>Organizes and completes progress notes according to standards. </li><li>Assesses and plans continued care/aftercare needs of residents. </li><li>Provides individual counseling sessions. </li><li>Facilitates group sessions and classes. </li><li>Provides case management services by coordinating with other agencies, resources, and professionals within a planned framework of action toward the achievement of established goals. </li><li>Responds to crisis situations and uses appropriate crisis intervention techniques. </li><li>Charts the results of the assessments and treatment plans, writing reports, progress notes, discharge summaries and other client related data. </li></ul> <p>Related Programming Responsibilities:</p> <ul> <li>Interfaces with staff and residents. </li><li>Assists in the development of treatment plans. </li></ul> <p>Operations:</p> <ul> <li>Disciplines residents, follows and enforces procedures for managing residents. </li><li>Ensures that necessary documentation is completed; assists in monitoring residents, transportation, and other operational duties as needed. </li></ul> <p>Administrative:</p> <ul> <li>Participates in treatment team meetings as scheduled, clinical team meetings and all staff meetings. </li><li>Performs public relations with all personnel and the community. </li><li>Collects, prepares, and submits monthly/quarterly/annual statistical reports. </li></ul> <p>Minimum Qualifications and Requirements</p> <ul> <li>Associates Degree, Bachelor's Degree preferred in a behavioral science in counseling, social work, or a related field. </li><li>Must have 40 hours of Chemical Dependency specific education. </li><li>Must attain status as a Chemical Dependency Counselor Assistant, LSW Assistant, or LPC Assistant within 30 days of appointment to position. </li><li>Must attain licensure as a Licensed Chemical Dependency Counselor II, Licensed Social Worker or LPC within three years of appointment to the position. </li><li>Must maintain certification requirements of the Ohio Chemical Dependency Board or the State of Ohio Counselor and Social Work Board, as appropriate. </li><li>Skills require the ability to analyze, plan, and implement effective clinical programming techniques which may include coaching, counseling, and positive reinforcement. </li><li>Ability to read and write routine reports, statistical information. </li><li>Interpersonal communication skills requiring ordinary courtesy and tact are necessary to communicate effectively with staff, clients, families, social services, and criminal justice agencies, as well as the general public. </li><li>Ability to develop, implements, and evaluate effective treatment plans and case management techniques. </li><li>Ability to facilitate groups. </li><li>A working knowledge of the general principles of social work, sociology, psychology, criminal justice, or associated curriculum as normally obtained through the completion of a Bachelor's Degree program. </li><li>Familiarity with Cognitive Behavioral Treatment (CBT) and Motivational Interviewing (MI) and a working knowledge of recovery support programs. </li><li>Valid State of Ohio Driver's License with a good driving record required. </li></ul> <p>Supplemental Information</p> <p>The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job.</p> <ul> <li>Ability to lift, pull, push and manipulate equipment </li><li>Ability to sit and/or stand for long periods of time </li><li>Bending, lifting forty (40) pounds upward </li><li>Restrain disorderly residents. </li><li>Ability to operate an automobile </li></ul> <p>All the above duties and responsibilities are essential job functions subject to reasonable accommodation.
