The omission of specific statements of duties does not exclude them from the position if the work is similar, related or a logical assignment to the position.)</p> <ul> <li>Advanced painting, carpentry and plumbing skills </li><li>Strong electrical troubleshooting skills </li><li>Ability to troubleshoot mechanical and HVAC systems and complete repairs </li><li>Performs advanced preventive building maintenance tasks </li><li>Moving (furniture, boxes and files). </li><li>Flexible work hours </li><li>Ensures all safety procedures are practiced. </li></ul> <p>Other Functions:</p> <ul> <li>Performs similar or related work as required, directed or as situation permits </li><li>Will be required to be on call week in rotation </li><li>Continues professional development and training; keeps current with trends </li><li>Assists other department staff as needed to promote a team effort. </li></ul> <p>Knowledge, Ability and Skill:</p> <ul> <li>Demonstrated commitment to promote diversity, equity, and inclusion, and work in an environment in which all members of the University community are treated with respect and dignity </li><li>Strong customer service skills </li><li>Good organizational skills </li><li>Not afraid of heights (working on ladders or lift) </li><li>Ability to use most all hand and power tools </li><li>Ability to work independently with minimal supervision </li><li>Strong communication skills </li><li>Advanced trade skills (plumbing, carpentry, electrical and painting) </li></ul>
