Exposure to an agency's culture, process, procedures, and potential learning opportunities can provide valuable experience to those who may seek permanent employment with the state.</p> <p> </p> <p>This temporary position is located in Charlotte - Mecklenburg County. </p> <p>Job Order Hourly Rate of Pay: $25.00 (Based on education and/or years of relevant work experience reflected on the application).</p> <p> </p> <p>This temporary position will be assigned to the Department of Health and Human Services. This position is located at 5501 Executive Center Dr, Suite 101, Charlotte, NC 28212.</p> <p>The primary purpose of this position is to serve those with Intellectual and Developmental Disabilities (IDD) and/or other disabilities who presently work in non-CIE settings, i.e., ADVPs, are considering employment in the community or opting not to pursue employment due to functional limitations and presumed lack of community resources and support. Will collaborate directly with individuals with IDD, their community support, guardian, and agencies in the community to access resources and information to help them achieve their goals. Will be a primary bridge between CIE Outreach Transition services, DHHS Vocational Rehabilitation, community-based resources, and advocacy groups to achieve CIE goals.</p> <p>Responsibilities of the Position:</p> <ul> <li>Outreach to individuals and families </li><li>Outreach to partners, advocacy groups and service providers </li><li>Assisting in outreach about transition opportunities </li><li>Participate in ongoing learning </li></ul> <p>NOTE: Qualified applicants must meet and CLEARLY reflect on their application training and experience and all knowledge, skills, abilities, and any experience or competencies specified in the posting and/or supplemental question(s) to be considered.
