<p>Opportunity to Apply to Work with World Class Students and Staff</p> <p>A Special Education Teacher Registered Apprenticeship offers a pathway to becoming a certified special education teacher, particularly for paraprofessionals and other individuals with limited teaching experience. This "earn while you learn" model combines paid work, supplemental education, and on-the-job training. It addresses teacher shortages, provides a sustainable workforce, and helps schools expand staffing flexibility.</p> <p>Additional information may be obtained by contacting Dr. LeAnn Stoll, Director of Special Services, via email at stolll@nlrsd.org, or by phone at (501) 771-8033, or by contacting the NLRSD HR Office via email at humanresources@nlrsd.org. / 501 771-8000.</p> <p>APPRENTICE WAGE SCHEDULE</p> <p>Apprentices shall be paid a progressively increasing schedule of wages based on either a</p> <p>percentage or a dollar amount of the current hourly journeyworker (lead/master teacher)</p> <p>wage rate, which is: $ 25.00.</p> <p>3-Year Term:</p> <p>1st semester (Entry/probationary): $15/hr</p> <p>2nd semester: $15.50 /hr</p> <p>2nd year: $16 /hr</p> <p>3rd year: $17 /hr</p> <p>4th year: $18 /hr</p> <p>Completion of program and placement into a teacher position: $ 25 /hr</p> <p>Note: Upon completion of the Apprenticeship Program, individuals will be available for a</p> <p>teaching position. If no teaching position is available at the time the individual completes the</p> <p>program, they will stay in an instructional support position until the next available opening.</p> <p>Eligibility Requirements:</p> <p>Candidates must have a bachelor's degree.</p> <p>Candidates must have a minimum 2.5 GPA, cumulative or based on the candidate's</p> <p>last 60 academic credits.</p> <p>Must be eligible for employment as a special education paraprofessional,</p> <p>instructional aide, or similar role within the school district participating as</p> <p>Employer, as determined by existing policies of the Employer.</p> <p>Candidates must have three years of prior experience as a paraprofessional or a</p> <p>similar position, or equivalent past experience as approved by ADE process.</p> <p>The NLRSD is an Equal Opportunity Employer.</p>
