<p>Job Description and Duties</p> <p>The San Francisco Bay Conservation and Development Commission (BCDC) is seeking a self-starter as an Enforcement Attorney. This position will be reporting directly to BCDC's General Counsel and working closely with the Enforcement and Compliance Programs to implement and support the Commission's enforcement strategy and compliance strategy, resolve current and past Bay-related permit violations, prosecuting violations and developing and implement a proactive compliance program.</p> <p>The Enforcement Attorney gives direction and participates in all aspects of administrative enforcement actions, including drafting, preparing and consulting on civil penalty orders, recommended enforcement decisions, Cease and Desist Orders, preparation of the record for the Attorney General's office, overseeing litigation commenced by the Attorney General's Office and settlement discussions with opposing counsel. The Enforcement Attorney also performs legal work and functions/ operations of the Commission's work in connection with permitting, planning, and administration of the McAteer-Petris Act, the Suisun Marsh Preservation Act, the San Francisco Bay Plan, the Commission's regulations, and other State and federal laws and regulations and other duties as assigned by the General Counsel.</p> <p>If this sounds like the job for you check out the duty statement for more information and apply today!</p> <p>You will find additional information about the job in the Duty Statement.</p> <p>Working Conditions</p> <ul> <li>Work in San Francisco office as defined by BCDC Telework Agreement. The current Telework Agreement provides for hybrid work, with two days in the office per week, subject to change.
