If the answer is yes, then you know the Chesterman Company! We are an independent Coca-Cola Bottler with our corporate office located in Sioux City, Iowa. We have been making quality beverages for the Midwest since 1872 and supplying them from 14 distribution centers across Iowa, Nebraska, and South Dakota. Position Summary: Responsible for ensuring that the highest quality is being produced while providing a safe and efficient working environment. Duties/Responsibilities: Supervise the quality control, syrup room and sanitation departments and ensure standards are consistently met Manage and maintain the facility's HACCP Program, including annual reviews, validation activities, and ongoing monitoring Serve as the primary point of contact for all external food safety audits and lead and manage the facility's Food Safety Team, including meeting facilitation, documentation, and ensuring cross-functional alignment on food safety objectives. (KORE, SQF/ISO, regulatory inspections, customer audits) Staff, train, evaluate, and develop team members Collaborate with other departments to drive initiatives and manage daily production activity Assist and conduct inspections and internal audits and follow up on corrective actions Manage labor and operational budget for the department Operate and maintain conventional and RO water treatment systems Serve as a backup employee within the department as needed Able to react to change productively and handle other essential tasks as assigned</p> <p>Education/Experience:</p> <ul> <li>Bachelor's degree </li><li>2-4 years of previous quality control/lab experience </li><li>1+ years of supervision experience </li><li>Must be familiar with HAACP, ISO, and Food Safety standards </li><li>Must be able to learn and understand KORE & KDP regulations </li></ul> <p>Required Skills/Abilities:</p> <ul> <li>Communication Skills </li><li>Dexterity Skills </li><li>Problem Solving Skills </li><li>Analytical Skills </li><li>Interpersonal Skills </li><li>Must be able to read, speak, and write in English to be able to communicate with supervisor and co-workers and to operate equipment. </li></ul> <p>Work Environment: Office and Lab Area. Ear protection is required in production areas. Must wear hair/beard net in designated areas.</p> <p>Physical Requirements:</p> <ul> <li>Regularly required to use hands, reach with hands and arms, talk, see, and hear </li><li>Frequently required to stand, bend, walk, and sit </li><li>Ability to lift/carry <50 lbs. </li><li>Ability to push/pull <50 lbs. </li></ul> <p>Reports to: Production Manager</p> <p>Job Status: Full-Time</p> <p>FLSA Status: Salary/Exempt</p> <p>Work Schedule: M-F 7:00 am - 4:30 pm; extended days and hours as needed</p> <p>Compensation: Competitive salary based upon experience</p>
