Previous work experience in medical records / HIM is preferred. Computer, organization and communication skills are required. Must be able to work in a team environment, function in an often disruptive setting and be professionally responsive when dealing with patients and other customers. Ability to learn to back up Director.</p> <p>The successful applicant will display the following attributes:</p> <ul> <li>Communication- ability to communicate professionally verbally and in writing </li><li>Health Knowledge- knowledgeable about ICD9/ICD10 and DSMIV/DSM 5 </li><li>Technical- skilled in Microsoft Suite as well as experienced in working within an EHR </li><li>Attention to Detail- organized and able to maintain health records in accordance with applicable HIPAA and related rules/regulations to protect PHI </li><li>Efficient- able to effectively reorganize paper charts among various locations as room opens up </li></ul> <p>JOB DUTIES</p> <p>This position is primarily responsible for chart abstraction and records storage maintenance per federal and state law.
