If you thrive under pressure, communicate with confidence and are dedicated to student success, we want you on our team.</p> <p>The responsibilities for this position include but aren't limited to:</p> <ul> <li>Dispatching for the police department by receiving emergency and service calls; dispatching patrol officer(s) by radio; receiving fire and burglar alarms and taking corrective action; accepting after-hours booting fees, as-needed; communicating alert/advisory information to patrol officers. </li><li>Parking enforcement, unlocking/locking buildings, and directing traffic </li><li>Handling inquiries from the public </li><li>Monitoring fire alarms, trouble alarms, panic alarms, and security cameras for IUP academic, administrative and residential buildings </li><li>Communicate with Indiana Borough Police, Indiana County Emergency Management and other agencies </li><li>Preparing reports and other duties as directed/required by the Director of Public Safety </li></ul> <p>Work Schedule:</p> <p>This position is required to work shifts including daylight, afternoon and midnight, overtime, holidays and fill scheduled vacancies.
