<p>Job Title: Experienced Clinical Educator</p> <p>Department: Education</p> <p>Supervisor: Director, Education</p> <p>40 hours per week, Exempt (Days)</p> <p>Job Objective:</p> <p>Is responsible for staff education related to Dementia and House-Wide topics with a focus on the development and delivery of high-quality programs.</p> <p>Essential Job Functions:</p> <ol> <li> <p>Ensure the provision of high quality responsive and flexible education programs and act as resource for staff and Residents</p> </li><li> <p>Assess the educational needs of nursing staff through regular evaluations, feedback, clinical outcomes, and documentation monitoring.</p> </li><li> <p>Conduct BLS training</p> </li><li> <p>Organize/coordinate on-site clinical experiences for local high schools and colleges, ensuring all compliance is met</p> </li><li> <p>Educate nursing staff on policies, ensuring adherence to established standards and guidelines.</p> </li><li> <p>Coordinate the production of written materials including any training manuals, articles for education, newsletters or learning guides</p> </li><li> <p>Foster patient engagement and satisfaction within the department and integrate patient-centered approaches into educational initiatives through first-hand observations and conversations.</p> </li><li> <p>Identify unmet education and training needs and develop appropriate programs</p> </li><li> <p>Develops and maintains education calendar and data base for tracking education hours</p> </li><li> <p>Provides excellent customer service to staff, residents, families, visitors and vendors</p> </li><li> <p>Maintains all established departmental and facility policies, procedures and objectives. Keeps Director aware of all departmental and employee issues related to education. Maintains high level of confidentiality.</p> </li><li> <p>Identifies educational opportunities, plans and organizes education programs and annual needs assessments, publishes monthly education calendar, coordinates classroom facilities and instructional aides, and develops various reports for management as requested. Develops and promotes community relationships and attends committee and leadership meetings as requested.</p> </li></ol> <p>Minimum Qualifications:</p> <p>Education: Bachelor's Degree</p> <p>Experience: 2+ years of related experience as an Educator in healthcare</p> <p>Licensure: RN</p> <p>Physical and Mental Requirements:</p> <ul> <li>Ability to sit or stand for long periods of time. </li><li>Ability to speak clearly and be understood. </li><li>Ability to use company software and equipment to accomplish electronic tasks. </li></ul> <p>MSL is an Equal Opportunity employer - M/F/Vets/Disabled</p>
