Actual pay will be determined by experience, skills and internal equity. This is an Hourly position.</p> <p>Overview</p> <p>Weekdays, 8 hour shift between hours of 7:00am-9:00pm; Weekends 8 hour shift between hours of 7:30am-6:00pm</p> <p>POSITION SUMMARY: The Certified Pharmacy Technician I assists pharmacists in ensuring medications are promptly, accurately and safely dispensed, delivered, charged and credited. Prepares and labels medications to match orders. Maintains records related to drug use and charges. This position requires the Technician to be proficient in both dispensing oral medications and in preparation of I.V. solutions. Duties may vary by assigned area or shift. Demonstrates the knowledge and skills necessary to provide patient care that is appropriate to the ages of the patients served, including neonatal, pediatric, adult and geriatric. Work involves standing, lifting and walking continually while in the process of performing duties.</p> <p>Qualifications</p> <p>REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS: Education: High School/GED</p> <p>Licenses/Certifications: Pharmacy Technician in Illinois or Michigan (dependent on location of employment).</p> <p>Pharmacy Technician Certification validated by PTCB or National Healthcareer certification (ExCPT).</p> <p>PHTC2 - Pharmacy Tech Certification (tracked by HR)</p> <p>Experience: At least 18 years of age</p> <p>Other skills/knowledge: Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.</p> <p>PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS: Experience: 1 year pharmacy.</p> <p>Demonstrates knowledge of pharmaceutical and medical terminology.</p> <p>Other requirements/information: Demonstrates ability to perform and apply arithmetic calculations.</p> <p>Intermediate computer skills.</p> <p>OSF HealthCare is an Equal Opportunity Employer.</p>
