<p>Accessibility Services Peer Note Sharers provide support to students enrolled in the same course and section in which a student with a pre-approved peer note sharing accommodation is registered. This position is for the duration of the course, typically 15 weeks.</p> <p>Qualifications and Desired Skills:</p> <ul> <li>Must be enrolled in the same course number and section as a student with a pre-approved peer notetaking accommodation through Accessibility Services </li><li>Must have a minimum of a 3.0 GPA or higher </li><li>Upload high quality, thorough, and legible notes to the online accommodation platform, AIM, within 48 hours of each class period. </li><li>Respect the student's right to privacy by keeping the specific requests of the notes you are taking confidential. </li><li>Attend class regularly and notify Accessibility Services immediately of changes in class schedule or contact information occur. If absences become excessive or interfere with the quality of notes, peer note sharers may be released from their peer note sharing responsibilities. </li></ul> <p>Additional information:</p> <ul> <li>Peer Note Sharers are compensated for 1 hour per week: the amount of time it takes to upload their notes into the online portal, AIM. Peer Note Sharers are not compensated for the time they are in class. </li><li>Notes can be provided either by scanning in handwritten notes, or by uploading a Microsoft Word file to AIM (unless otherwise instructed by Accessibility Services). </li></ul> <p>Job Requirements</p> <ul> <li>Must be enrolled in the same course number and section as a student with a pre-approved peer note sharing accommodation through Accessibility Services. </li><li>Must be in good academic standing (minimum 3.0 GPA or higher preferred). </li><li>Upload high quality, thorough, and legible notes to the online accommodation platform, AIM, within 48 hours of each class period. </li><li>Respect the student's right to privacy by keeping the specific requests of the notes you are taking confidential. </li><li>Attend class regularly and notify Accessibility Services immediately of changes in class schedule or my contact information occur.
