<p>Essential Duties and Responsibilities:</p> <ul> <li>Procuring direct, indirect and shop supplies, services and equipment as required. </li><li>Planning and issuing PO's to suppliers based on material requirements. </li><li>Generate cost savings via negotiating, alternate sourcing or process improvements. </li><li>Drive inventory reduction using lean principles internally and externally. </li><li>Improve material flow thru lean manufacturing systems internally and with external suppliers. </li><li>Develop and implement system improvements through Oracle and Excel to better support production, reporting of metrics and improve material flow. </li><li>First point of escalation to resolve supplier issues and concerns. </li><li>Effective and efficient transition of new materials into the supply chain. </li><li>Resolve A/P issues. </li></ul> <p>Education/ Skills/ Experience:</p> <ul> <li>BS/BA Degree with a minimum of three to five years experience required; or equivalent combination of education and experiences. </li><li>Certifications of CPM and/or CPIM are preferred. </li><li>Ability to read, analyze and negotiate contracts, strategic agreements, financial reports and legal documents </li><li>Lean experience is preferred. </li><li>Knowledge of Microsoft Office and ERP systems; Oracle experience preferred. </li><li>Excellent communications skills with business partners in all levels of the organization in a cross cultural environment. </li><li>Ability to work with minimal supervision. </li><li>Some travel may be required. </li></ul> <p>Physical Skills and Abilities:</p> <p>Physical Demands</p> <p>The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job.
