UMATS clinicians focus on making a clear diagnosis and working with their patients to identify strengths, talents and values that will support individuals throughout treatment.</p> <p>The successful candidate will be part of a multidisciplinary team composed of psychiatrist, psychologist, social workers, and case managers. Promotes a safe and healthy environment through compliance with regulatory standards and other quality measures. This includes delegated medical functions as designated in clinical privileges. </li></ul> <p>Organizational Relationships and Practice Environment:</p> <ul> <li>Advance Practice Professionals (APPs) will receive medical supervision from the UMATS Medical Director or their designee. </li><li>Advance Practice Professionals (APPs) will receive administrative supervision from the APP Manager. </li></ul> <p>Nursing Specific Info</p> <p>Employment is contingent upon successful completion of the credentialing and privileging process.</p> <p>Nursing Specific Info</p> <p>Required qualifications must be met by the candidate in order to be interviewed and considered for the position. Posting may be filled after the initial 5-day posting period.</p> <p>Applicants who have left the UMPNC bargaining unit must include on their resume dates of past employment including months and years of service along with effort.</p> <p>Positions less than 20 hours/week may be combined.</p> <p>If you have questions regarding this posting or would like assistance with nursing opportunities please contact Nurse Recruitment at (734) 936-5183.</p> <p>Required Qualifications*</p> <p>Required Qualifications (NP):</p> <ul> <li>Current licensure to practice as a Registered Nurse and Nurse Practitioner specialty certification in the State of Michigan. </li><li>Graduate of an accredited Nurse Practitioner program </li><li>Certification as a Nurse Practitioner by the American Nurse Credentialing Center (ANCC) or American Academy of Nurse Practitioners Certification Board (AANPCB) as a Family Nurse Practitioner or Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner or dual certification as a Family Nurse Practitioner and Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner </li><li>AHA BLS certification. </li><li>Current DEA registration required. </li><li>Two (2) years' experience working as a nurse practitioner </li><li>Two (2) year experience working as a nurse practitioner in an Addiction Psychiatric or Addiction Medicine-Mental Health setting </li></ul> <p>Required Qualifications (PA):</p> <ul> <li>Current license to practice as a Physician Assistant in the State of Michigan </li><li>Graduate of a Physician Assistant program accredited by Accreditation Review Commission on Education for the Physician Assistant (ARC-PA) or one of its predecessor agencies, CAHEA or CAAHEP. </li><li>Certification by the National Commission on Certification for Physician Assistants (NCCPA) </li><li>State of Michigan Controlled Substance License </li><li>AHA BLS certification. </li><li>Current DEA registration required. </li><li>Two (2) years' experience working as physician assistant </li><li>Two (2) years? experience working as a physician assistant in an Addiction Psychiatric or Addiction Medicine-Mental Health setting </li></ul> <p>NOTE:</p> <ul> <li>Employment is contingent upon successful completion of the credentialing and privileging process. </li><li>In order to be considered for this position the applicant must have met or will have met all the required qualifications prior to the start date of employment </li></ul> <p>Under Michigan Law, a criminal history check including fingerprinting is required as a condition of employment or transfer for this position.</p> <p>RESUME REQUIRED (for both internal & external applicants):</p> <p>You must attach a complete and accurate resume to be fully considered for this position.</p> <p>Desired Qualifications*</p> <ul> <li>Two years of experience as an RN/NP/PA managing adult acute and/or chronic conditions found in acute care settings like intensive care unit, or emergency departments </li><li>Training in evidence-based psychotherapy (e.g. motivational interviewing) </li><li>APP experience prescribing medications used for substance use disorders including buprenorphine/methadone </li><li>Familiarity with psychotropic medication therapy </li><li>Addiction medicine certification or fellowship </li><li>Excellent interpersonal and communication skills measured by references and interview. </li><li>Demonstrated success working within a multidisciplinary team model measured by references and interview. </li><li>Ability to work independently with minimal supervision measured by references and interviews. </li></ul> <p>Work Schedule</p> <p>Full time- 40 hours per week</p> <p>Shift: Standard schedule is Monday ? Friday from 8:00 am - 5:00 pm, possible evenings. The schedule is subject to change based on the clinical operational demands where the employee practices.</p> <p>This position is blended with in person clinic visits and virtual visits.</p> <p>Modes of Work</p> <p>Positions that are eligible for hybrid or mobile/remote work mode are at the discretion of the hiring department.
