<p>PURPOSE/SCOPE:</p> <p>The Sales Account Manager will act as the primary liaison between Business Development Directors and Trans-Matic, ensuring seamless communication and coordination to meet customer needs. This role includes managing customer accounts, overseeing the sales process, and addressing customer-related issues. The ideal candidate will excel in managing relationships, providing timely solutions, and maintaining a high level of customer satisfaction. This role requires extensive travel to customer locations, ensuring face-to-face engagement, relationship-building, and on-site support.</p> <p>GENERAL RESPONSIBILITIES:</p> <p>Customer Account Management:</p> <ul> <li>Serve as an essential point of contact for all assigned customer accounts. </li><li>Build and maintain strong customer relationships through regular interactions and exceptional service. </li><li>Address and resolve customer inquiries and issues related to pricing, quality, delivery, and technical requirements. </li></ul> <p>Request for Quotation (RFQ) Management:</p> <ul> <li>Enter and manage Requests for Quotation (RFQs) accurately and in a timely manner. </li><li>Collaborate with internal teams to finalize pricing letters and other sales documentation. </li></ul> <p>Sales Coordination:</p> <ul> <li>Work closely with Business Development Directors to provide updates and insights on customer accounts. </li><li>Coordinate with cross-functional teams to ensure alignment on customer requirements and deliverables. </li></ul> <p>Issue Resolution:</p> <ul> <li>Proactively address and resolve quality concerns, pricing discrepancies, and delivery or expedite issues. </li><li>Collaborate with internal departments to ensure timely and effective resolution of customer challenges. </li></ul> <p>Technical Support and Compliance:</p> <ul> <li>Evaluate the technical feasibility of customer requirements and provide feedback to stakeholders. </li><li>Ensure all customer form requirements, audits, and compliance standards are met. </li></ul> <p>Customer Engagement:</p> <ul> <li>Conduct virtual and face-to-face meetings with customers to discuss ongoing projects, resolve issues, and strengthen relationships. </li><li>Represent Trans-Matic professionally at all customer engagements, including on-site visits and presentations. </li><li>Stay informed about customer needs and industry trends to anticipate opportunities. </li></ul> <p>Account Growth:</p> <ul> <li>Identify and pursue opportunities for account growth and additional revenue streams. </li><li>Provide input on strategic sales initiatives to support company goals. </li></ul> <p>REQUIRED EXPERIENCE & EDUCATION:</p> <ul> <li>A bachelor's degree in engineering, business, or a related field, or equivalent experience is required. </li><li>3-5 years of experience in account management, sales, project management, or project engineering, preferably in a manufacturing or technical industry. </li><li>Working knowledge of mechanical products and related product design. </li><li>Working knowledge of precision componentry; functions, and fit/mating characteristics. </li><li>Value engineering capability and ability to interact with product design engineering. </li><li>Strong communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills </li><li>Proficient in CRM software and Microsoft Office Suite. </li><li>Mechanical aptitude with the ability to conceptualize and articulate complex technical information to others. </li><li>Exceptional organizational skills and attention to detail. </li><li>Ability to manage multiple accounts and priorities effectively. </li><li>Willingness to travel for customer meetings and on-site visits. </li></ul> <p>PREFERRED EXPERIENCE & EDUCATION:</p> <ul> <li>Experience in precision manufacturing, metal forming, or related industries. </li></ul> <p>REQUIRED INTERPERSONAL & BEHAVIORAL SKILLS:</p> <ul> <li>Highly motivated and results-driven professional. </li><li>Passionate about driving sales growth and fostering strong customer relationships. </li><li>Eager to excel and advance within the organization. </li><li>Skilled at prioritizing and managing multiple projects efficiently. </li><li>Possesses strong organizational skills. </li><li>Excellent verbal and written communication abilities. </li><li>Exceptional interpersonal skills. </li><li>Committed to a team-first attitude, dedicated to delivering a world-class customer experience. </li><li>Goal-oriented with effective problem-solving skills. </li><li>Demonstrates excellent judgment, attention to detail, and personal accountability. </li><li>Strong decision-making capabilities. </li></ul> <p>WORK ENVIRONMENT:</p> <ul> <li>A mix of office work, virtual interactions, and on-site customer visits. </li></ul> <p>The Sales Account Manager role is vital to ensuring customer satisfaction and driving growth.
