The position is expected to begin approximately August 2025 or as mutually acceptable. The faculty must meet the requirements of partnering organizations that serve as clinical practice sites for advanced practice nursing and interprofessional education.</p> <p>The faculty will be required to travel to clinical sites as needed, in addition to reporting to UH Manoa. Renewal of appointment is dependent on performance, program needs and/or availability of funds. To learn more about SONDH, go to:http://www.nursing.hawaii.edu/home.</p> <p>Duties & Responsibilities:</p> <ul> <li>Supervises clinical rotations in the psych- mental health specialty for the Doctor of Nursing Practice (DNP) Program. </li><li>Teaches assigned clinical seminars, case studies, post-conference, and laboratory courses in the DNP Program. Specific priority of need is psychiatric-mental health nurse practitioner. </li><li>Facilitates interprofessional education and simulation activities. </li><li>Participates in curriculum development activities for the psych-mental health specialty. </li><li>Participates in supervising and facilitating advanced practicum, DNP student scholarly projects, and simulation student activities. </li><li>Facilitates interdisciplinary education in primary care practice settings. </li><li>Other duties as assigned. </li></ul> <p>Minimum Qualifications:</p> <ul> <li>Terminal clinical degree (DNP) or master's degree from an accredited college or university (Doctor of Nursing Practice preferred). </li><li>Current (or be eligible for) unrestricted Registered Nurse (RN) license to practice in Hawai'i with national certification as a psych-mental health nurse practitioner (must have Hawaii license by the appointment date); </li><li>Current (or be eligible for) unrestricted Advanced Practice Registered Nurse (APRN) license to practice in Hawai'i; </li><li>One (1) year full-time clinical nursing work experience in the area of advanced practice nursing specialty; </li><li>Engaged in professional practice on a unit with a similar patient population and level of patient acuity where they will be assigned for the purpose of supervising advanced practice nursing students; </li><li>Demonstrated ability to teach effectively, provide clinical supervision, provide student feedback, and direct group discussion; </li><li>Demonstrated professionalism in meeting, interacting and conferring with others; </li><li>Demonstrated competency in interdisciplinary team work and team science; </li><li>Demonstrated competency in quality improvement projects or initiatives. </li></ul> <p>Desirable Qualifications:</p> <ul> <li>Experience supervising nursing advanced practicum students. </li><li>Coursework in curriculum development and health sciences education. </li><li>Demonstrated competency in Evidence Based Practice and DNP Scholarly projects. </li></ul> <p>To Apply:</p> <p>Click on the "Apply" button on the top right corner of the screen and attach the required documents.
