Process engineers at our Warwick, RI location will collaborate with production teams, maintenance, and new product development to support the development and implementation of process improvements in melt-forming, heat treating, and cold working.</p> <p>What Impact Would You Have?</p> <ul> <li>Contribute to improvement of on time delivery, scrap reduction, and project implementations to improve product throughput. </li></ul> <p>How Would You Accomplish This?</p> <ul> <li>Promote Safety as the Number One Priority of all Lucas Milhaupt employees. </li><li>Develop and optimize manufacturing processes to increase efficiency and reduce waste. </li><li>Evaluate existing production processes and recommend changes to improve productivity, quality, and safety. </li><li>Work with the quality assurance team to establish standards, methods, and procedures for manufacturing operations. </li><li>Implement corrective actions for quality issues and work on continuous improvement projects. </li><li>Collaborate with maintenance teams to minimize downtime and maintain equipment reliability. </li><li>Provide technical support and training to production staff. </li><li>Drive lean and productivity improvement initiatives plant-wide through the development and implementation of new processes, equipment and processes. </li><li>Participate in Lean activities including Kaizen events, 5S, 8D, Preventative Maintenance programs, root cause analysis, 5 Why and other Lean tools to enhance productivity. </li><li>Assist in the transfer of new product development into production ramp-up including capital expenditures, project ownership transition and structured hand-off to manufacturing </li><li>Perform other duties as assigned. </li></ul>
