Boldt's focus on innovation, collaboration, and employee development provides an opportunity for all our employees to Build Boldly.</p> <p>What you get to do (Essential Functions):</p> <ul> <li>Oversee and assist payroll team responsible for completion of day-to-day payroll operations including but not limited to weekly full cycle payroll processing, fringe reporting/payments, auditing, travel pay, expense reimbursements and wage attachments. </li><li>Own the understanding of Boldt's payroll system and lead efforts in leveraging data and report creation. </li><li>Identify, participate and/or lead in process improvement projects. </li><li>Partner with internal and external partners to test new functional system enhancements, system updates and integrations. </li><li>Partner with internal partners to ensure HR, Benefit and Payroll changes are processed accurately and efficiently. </li><li>Create reporting tools to assist in various audits, track and ensure compliance and efficiently reconcile payroll accounts. </li><li>Effectively resolve questions/discrepancies by interfacing with field, corporate, operating personnel, and outside clients/agencies. </li><li>Support and provide guidance to payroll processors on procedures, guidelines, laws and regulations. </li><li>Assist with federal, state and local tax filing/reporting to include W2 reporting. </li><li>Assist with General Ledger reconciliation of payroll accounts. </li><li>Prepare ad hoc reports, assist with projects and other tasks as assigned. </li></ul> <p>What we expect from you:</p> <ul> <li>Bachelor's Degree in business administration, accounting or finance required. An equivalent combination of education, training and/or experience may be considered in lieu of a degree. </li><li>5 years of experience in full cycle payroll processing, including both union and non-union environments, tax reporting, and general accounting. 2 or more years of supervisory experience required. </li><li>Ability to design, document & implement procedures to streamline processes. </li><li>Intermediate Microsoft O365 experience required. </li><li>Passion for process improvement with an emphasis in leveraging technology. </li><li>Strong supervisory and leadership skills. </li><li>Proven ability to work in a confidential setting. </li><li>Strong analytical and problem-solving skills. </li><li>High level of attention to detail and strong organizational skills required. </li><li>Excellent communication skills (written and verbal) are essential. </li><li>A valid driver's license may be required. Individuals in this role may be subject to an annual Motor Vehicle Records check. The outcome of any MVR checks conducted may negatively impact the persons' ability to participate in any vehicle program provided by the company, including but not limited to the ability to drive a personal vehicle on behalf of The Boldt Company or rent a vehicle through for business travel purposes. </li></ul> <p>Physical Requirements and Working Conditions:</p> <p>While performing the duties of this job, the employee is frequently required to remain in a stationary position for up to eight hours. The employee occasionally is required to move to access people or workspaces. Constantly operates a computer and other office equipment, such as a calculator, copy machine and computer printer. The ability to effectively communicate is required. The employee may occasionally move up to 15 pounds.</p> <p>The working conditions of this position?requires the employee to work inside an office environment. The environment for which this position functions may contain scents and fragrances. This range represent what The Boldt Company reasonably expect to pay for this position, but the actual compensation offered will be dependent upon numerous job-related factors, including but not limited to candidate qualifications, skills, experience, education, location, alignment with market data and internal equity as well as other business and organizational needs. Our expectation is that the incumbent will work in Appleton, Wi.
