As a part of our team, you will build a rewarding, lifelong career in a diverse and welcoming environment.</p> <p>Radiology Technologists operate X-ray equipment to produce diagnostic images reviewed by a Radiologist. Their responsibilities include preparing patients for exams, positioning and guiding them appropriately, ensuring proper use of imaging equipment, and capturing high-quality images while keeping radiation exposure to a minimum. As the Lead Radiology Technologist, you will perform radiologic and fluoroscopic procedures for patients of all ages, uphold patient safety, and take on advanced technical and leadership duties. In addition to delivering imaging and patient care at the required levels, you will also provide technical guidance and support to other technologists.</p> <p>This role gives you the chance to grow professionally by gaining leadership experience, improving your technical skills, and making a meaningful difference for patients and the imaging team.</p> <p>A caregiver in this position works days from 3:00 p.m. - 11:30 p.m. or 10:00 - 8:30 p.m. with every 9th weekend and rotating holidays.</p> <p>A caregiver who excels in this role will:</p> <ul> <li>Supervise and coordinate work activities of assigned personnel. </li><li>Schedule work assignments, prepare master schedule and perform payroll time sheet for employees. </li><li>Assist with interviewing applicants and train, guide and provide feedback to current team members. </li><li>Maintain procedure manual and communicate changes to staff. </li><li>Assist with all policies and procedures required by local, state, or federal law and compliance or credentialing bodies (ACR, MQSA, Medicare, Medicaid, FDA, etc.). </li><li>Assist with instrument calibration and records to ensure compliance with quality assurance requirements. </li><li>Ensure and maintain quality control, radiation protection and safety standards through daily/weekly quality assurance tests. </li><li>Prepare and administer contrast media and/or medications within accepted scope of practice and applicable state and federal regulations. </li><li>Provide technical direction with complex cases and problem solving. </li><li>Schedule routine preventative maintenance on equipment to meet safety and regulatory standards and instruct other area personnel in protection. </li><li>Prepare and check patients prior to procedure. </li><li>Acquire, review, verify and validate patient questionnaire, chart, data/requisition and patient screening safety form. </li><li>Perform imaging procedures required per protocol. </li><li>Educate patients regarding procedures, equipment and exam. </li><li>Perform venous punctures and maintain competencies. </li><li>Immediately report any malfunctions and equipment dysfunctions to help desk and PACS Administrator. </li><li>Review process films/scans to determine quality and need for additional images. </li><li>Provide leadership and clinical coverage for other imaging modalities and/or locations as needed. </li></ul> <p>Minimum qualifications for the ideal future caregiver include:</p> <ul> <li>Graduate of an accredited school of Radiologic Technology </li><li>Registered Technologist credentialed by The American Registry of Radiologic Technologists R.T.(ARRT) and in good standing </li><li>Current state licensure </li><li>Basic Life Support (BLS) Certification </li><li>Two years of recent modality experience </li><li>Ability to direct, evaluate and supervise others </li></ul> <p>Preferred qualifications for the ideal future caregiver include:</p> <ul> <li>Two years of experience as an Imaging Technologist in an acute care imaging setting </li><li>Lead/supervisor experience </li></ul> <p>Physical Requirements:</p> <ul> <li>Must be able to lift or assist with lifting patients of varying weight and manipulate equipment daily. </li><li>Requires standing and walking for extended periods of time. </li></ul> <p>Personal Protective Equipment:</p> <ul> <li>Follows standard precautions using personal protective equipment as required. </li></ul> <p>Pay Range</p> <p>Minimum hourly: $33.46</p> <p>Maximum hourly: $51.03</p> <p>The pay range displayed on this job posting reflects the anticipated range for new hires. A successful candidate's actual compensation will be determined after taking factors into consideration such as the candidate's work history, experience, skill set and education. The pay range displayed does not include any applicable pay practices (e.g., shift differentials, overtime, etc.). The pay range does not include the value of Cleveland Clinic's benefits package (e.g., healthcare, dental and vision benefits, retirement savings account contributions, etc.).</p>
