<p>Airport Director</p> <p>Airport Director</p> <p>The City of Santa Fe invites applications for the position of AIRPORT DIRECTOR. The new Airport Director will be appointed by and will report directly to the City Manager. The Airport Director is responsible for the overall management of the Santa Fe Regional Airport. The Director is the chief liaison between the Airport, other City departments, and outside agencies such as the Transportation Security Administration and Federal Aviation Administrations. The Director's primary responsibilities include developing, directing, managing, and coordinating aircraft operations, building and airfield maintenance, construction, safety and regulatory compliance, and enacting programs to promote Airport usage. The Airport Director manages and participates in the planning, development, implementation and management of goals, objectives, policies and priorities for the Airport.</p> <p>The City: Santa Fe operates as a Strong Mayor city. Mayor-elect Michael Garcia will assume office on January 1. The Mayor serves as the City's Chief Executive and also chairs a Governing Body, consisting of the Mayor and 8 City Councilors. He will appoint the City Manager, City Attorney and City Clerk, subject to confirmation by Councilors.
