<p>Content Strategist</p> <p>CBDistillery is a leading CBD brand committed to providing high-quality, hemp-derived wellness products to customers nationwide. As one of the top CBD brands in the e-commerce space, we're passionate about educating consumers and promoting natural alternatives to traditional medicine. We're looking for a creative, data-driven Content Strategist to join our team and help us tell our story.</p> <p>POSITION SUMMARY</p> <p>The Content Strategist will have a strategic and hands-on approach to leading the development and execution of our content strategy. This role is ideal for someone who understands how to use content to drive traffic, increase conversions, and elevate brand trust. They'll work cross-functionally with SEO, creative, product, and email teams to bring cohesive and engaging content experiences to life.</p> <p>ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS</p> <p>Strategy & Planning</p> <ul> <li>Develop and execute a comprehensive content marketing strategy aligned with brand goals, product launches, SEO targets, and seasonal campaigns. </li><li>Identify opportunities for content that builds awareness, educates consumers, and supports all stages of the funnel. </li><li>Monitor performance metrics and KPIs to measure the effectiveness of content and adjust strategy accordingly. </li></ul> <p>Content Creation & Management</p> <ul> <li>Oversee the content calendar for blog posts, email campaigns, product descriptions, press releases, landing pages, and other marketing materials. </li><li>Write, edit, and optimize high-quality, brand-aligned content that meets SEO best practices and resonates with our target audience. </li><li>Collaborate with internal and external designers, and agencies to produce compelling, on-brand content. </li><li>Maintain brand voice and ensure consistency across all touchpoints. </li><li>Work closely with legal team to ensure compliance of all content. </li></ul> <p>SEO & Performance</p> <ul> <li>Work closely with SEO agency to implement on-page SEO strategies to improve organic search rankings and drive traffic. </li><li>Partner with the SEO team to identify content gaps, develop blogs, optimize existing content, and develop backlink opportunities. </li><li>Use tools like Google Analytics, SEMrush, or Ahrefs to track content performance and make data-informed decisions. </li></ul> <p>Email Marketing</p> <ul> <li>Own email marketing calendar and manage all email marketing campaigns and automated flows from content creation to implementation and scheduling. </li><li>Support A/B testing and personalization strategies to improve email engagement and conversion rates. </li></ul> <p>PR & Communications</p> <ul> <li>Draft press releases and coordinate with internal PR team for product launches, brand news, and company milestones. </li><li>Support affiliate and influencer teams with content needs, product info, and educational materials. </li></ul> <p>SUPPORTIVE FUNCTIONS</p> <p>In addition to performance of the essential functions, this position may be required to perform a combination of the following supportive functions, with the percentage of time performing each function to be solely determined by the supervisor based upon the requirements of the company.</p> <p>Must be flexible with changes in responsibilities and schedule.</p> <p>Responsibilities may include, but are not limited to, following all cGMPs while onsite at the manufacturing facility, restricting marketing claims to those approved by legal on all materials (print or otherwise), ensuring labels follow the approved process to ensure accuracy and legal compliance, following internal procedures for product requests to maintain lot traceability, may participate in recalls and must follow procedures and disseminate accurate information.</p> <p>SPECIFIC JOB KNOWLEDGE, SKILL AND ABILITY</p> <p>The individual must possess the following knowledge, skills and abilities and be able to explain and demonstrate that he or she can perform the essential functions of the job, with or without reasonable accommodation.</p> <ul> <li>Strong writing, editing, and storytelling skills with an eye for detail and a passion for wellness and education. </li><li>Familiarity with email marketing platforms (e.g. Klaviyo), SEO tools and CMS platforms </li><li>Completes projects promptly with attention to detail </li><li>Ability to work independently with minimal supervision </li><li>Flexible with the ability to quickly and effectively shift priorities and meet deadlines </li><li>Excellent interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills </li><li>Critical thinker with strong conceptual and research skills </li><li>Experience working with CBD, wellness, or regulated industries is a plus. </li><li>Proficient in Microsoft Office </li></ul> <p>QUALIFICATION STANDARDS:</p> <p>EDUCATION</p> <p>Bachelor's degree in Communications/Media, Marketing, or related field</p> <p>EXPERIENCE</p> <p>3-5 years' experience in a content role</p> <p>BENEFITS AVAILABLE</p> <ul> <li>Health </li><li>Dental </li><li>Vision </li><li>401k with company match </li><li>Company paid life insurance </li><li>Supplemental life insurance for employee spouse or child(ren) </li><li>Short Term Disability </li><li>Long Term Disability </li><li>Hospital Indemnity </li><li>Accident Insurance </li><li>Critical Illness </li></ul> <p>NOTICE:</p> <p>Upon employment, all employees are required to fully comply with Village Farms International, Inc. rules and regulations for the safe and efficient operation of our facilities.
