<p>New Pig Corporation</p> <p>Manufacturing Location: Tipton, PA</p> <p>Position: Line Operator - MB Process (composite materials from plastics-based fibers)</p> <p>A-Shift (7am - 7pm)</p> <p>B-Shift (7pm - 7am)</p> <p>Manufacturing is seeking a highly motivated self-starter for Line Operator who will be dedicated to providing our customers with the highest quality products.</p> <p>Professionalism, mutual respect, and integrity are essential to maintaining a structured and well-engaged workforce. Quality is paramount, and is uniquely specific to the MB process, where continual process adjustments must be made in order maintain material performance specifications. Fostering safe work practices/acts is quintessential and uniquely specific for the MB process.</p> <p>This position will work 7am-7pm OR 7pm-7am at our Tipton, PA location. NO Swing Shifts. You'll be assigned to one or the other.</p> <p>Position-Specific Duties:</p> <ul> <li>Days of Operation - 24/7 12-hour shift coverage 4 on 3 off/ 4 off 3 on (No swinging shifts), plus overtime as needed. </li><li>Mat Operation - Operate equipment, load rolls, perform changeovers, etc. </li><li>Quality Standards - Demonstrate an ability to adjust the process to meet quality standards </li><li>Quality Inspection - Perform quality checks and collect quality data as required </li><li>Production Reporting - Enter production quantities and material usage into Syteline </li><li>Actively participate on the mat line process improvement team </li><li>Actively participate in lean manufacturing improvement workshops and training events </li></ul> <p>General Duties</p> <ul> <li>Perform all other production-related duties as assigned or directed </li><li>Adhere to New Pig's Safety, Environmental, and Quality standards </li></ul> <p>Minimum Qualifications:</p> <p>The successful candidate will possess the following knowledge, skills and/or abilities:</p> <ul> <li>High School diploma or GED equivalent. </li><li>Adherence to all environmental, health & safety requirements and the company safety policies & procedures </li><li>Must achieve certification to operate independently within 4 months of hire. </li><li>Computer Skills - PC use including but not limited to email, data entry, system navigation </li><li>Math skills - able to do unit conversions (e.g. linear inches to linear yards to sq. yards) </li><li>Must be able to use basic measurement tools such as tape measures, rulers, etc. </li><li>Physical activity - lifting 60 lb shafts; maneuvering 400 lb. rolls; packing/palletizing cartons up to 30 lbs. </li><li>Product standards - capable of producing all products to standard rate </li><li>Quality System - capable of retrieving and applying all quality information; comply with QMS policies and procedures </li><li>Attention to detail, accuracy, and thoroughness </li><li>Must demonstrate a commitment to all tasks assigned </li><li>Continuous improvement mindset - willingness to share input readily to improve our manufacturing processes </li></ul> <p>Weekly paycheck: $18/hour for 7am-7pm day shift. $20 for 7pm-7am night shift (includes $2/hr shift differential).
