<p>Community Health Program Coordinator</p> <p>(2) Part-Time Position Available</p> <p>North Providence, RI</p> <p>Prevention Department</p> <p>The goal of this position is to prevent the initiation and escalation of substance use among youth, while actively supporting and promoting healthy, positive lifestyle choices.</p> <p>General Responsibility:</p> <ul> <li>Recruit stakeholders that fulfill 6 core sectors to be part of the coalition, i.e., business, education, health care, government, community/family supports, and safety. </li><li>Implement Evidence-Based Programs for middle and high school youth in Scituate and or North Providence. </li><li>Work with both the middle and high school administration. </li><li>Participating in public awareness campaigns and projects relating to health promotion. </li><li>Work with the community to spread messaging by educating and raising awareness. </li><li>Facilitate at least ten (10) meetings a year of the municipal prevention coalition. </li></ul> <p>Qualifications:</p> <ul> <li>Bachelor's degree in social work, psychology, criminal justice, health studies, or a related field (preferred). </li><li>Experience in substance use prevention and/or public health programming and policy is highly desirable. </li><li>Excellent verbal and written communication skills, including public speaking ability. </li><li>Proficient in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) and basic graphic design software. </li><li>Ability to work both independently and as part of a collaborative team. </li><li>Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously. </li><li>Flexible schedule availability, including occasional evenings or weekends as needed. </li><li>Ability to lift and carry supplies and equipment up to 50 pounds. </li></ul> <p>Application Process: Please visit our website at www.tricountyri.org to view our current openings.
