<p>Minimum Qualifications</p> <ul> <li>Bachelor's degree in technical theatre or an equivalent combination of education and/or experience. </li><li>Previous experience in technical production. </li><li>Considerable knowledge of the technical aspects of scenery construction in wood and steel. </li><li>Excellent organizational skills. </li><li>Must be able to lift 50 pounds for set building. </li></ul> <p>Desired Qualifications</p> <ul> <li>Instructional experience. </li><li>Experience leading a student work crew. </li><li>Experience with theatrical rigging and electrics. </li></ul> <p>All Qualifications</p> <p>Unless otherwise required by an applicable collective bargaining agreement, all minimum, additional and desired qualifications are preferred, but qualifications, degrees, and/or experience deemed comparable and/or equivalent by Oakland University in its sole and exclusive discretion may be considered.</p> <p>Position Details Position Purpose</p> <p>With the Technical Director and SMTD Facilities manager, oversee and execute all technical production aspects of SMTD's performance season including scenery, lighting, sound, and effects.</p> <p>Job Open Date 02/19/2026 Job Close Date</p>
