<p>Serves to support the mission of the College and Student Services by actively recruiting, admitting, advising, and offering on-going support to students from their initial interest to degree completion. From pre-admission to post-graduation, Student Services provides individualized, inclusive, student-centered programming beyond the classroom to bridge the gap between students' goals and achievement.</p> <p>This position will remain open and posted until filled.PRIMARY TASKS:</p> <ul> <li>Provide direct one-on-one and small group tutoring services to students - must be willing and able to adjust technique and methodology to meet the needs of the students you are working with at any given time. </li><li>Ensure tutoring center has all necessary resources to ensure a productive, safe and welcoming space in which students can learn. </li><li>Assist students in learning study skills, learning strategies and how to define which learning style suits them best. </li><li>Work closely with faculty to ensure that supplemental instruction services support the curriculum. </li><li>Engage in embedded tutoring in high challenge courses as assigned. </li><li>Track instruction session summaries and attendance in order to submit weekly to Program Director and Retention Specialist. </li><li>Assist in promoting available supplemental instruction services and tutoring to entire degree seeking student body via email blasts, through Moodle and other avenues as identified. </li><li>Participate in on-going conversations about how to effectively and efficiently provide supplemental instruction services to the degree-seeking student body. </li><li>Refer students to ancillary services as needed and appropriate. </li><li>Work with students and faculty to evaluate effectiveness of services at the end of each term. </li><li>Be willing and able to attend training and ongoing education as needed and available. </li><li>Mange student behavior and use of the group study/tutoring area. </li></ul> <p>OTHER DUTIES:</p> <ul> <li>Participate in planning of enrollment management efforts, specifically for retention purposes. </li><li>Provide support during the curriculum commencement ceremony including assisting with set up and execution of the event. </li><li>Maintain professional and technical knowledge through reading professional publications and attending workshops and conferences as appropriate. </li><li>Maintain cross-training with other Lab Instructors and other Title III Student Services staff. </li><li>Serve on various college committees. </li><li>Other duties as assigned. </li></ul> <p>Education:        Bachelor's Degree or</p> <p>                           Associate's Degree with ten years' experience</p> <p> </p> <p>Experience:  Subject concentration in Math, Science and/or English.Bi-lingual candidates preferred.</p> <p>Experience in teaching, tutoring, and/or providing supplemental instruction preferred.</p>
