<p>Environmental Engineer 9-P11 </p> <p>The district engineer is responsible for the regulatory oversight of community public water supplies as defined by the Michigan Safe Drinking Water Act (Act 399, PA 1976, as amended). The district engineer makes decisions concerning engineering concept and design, operation, and maintenance of community public water supplies, as those decisions relate to public health and the administration of the Act. The district engineer serves as the information source with the community water supplies. The district engineer reviews applications for permits before the Senior Licensed Engineer issues the permit</p> <p>Position Description - Env Engineer 9-P11</p> <p>Environmental Engineer Licensed 12 </p> <p>The senior level district engineer is responsible for the regulatory oversight of community public water supplies as defined by the Michigan Safe Drinking Water Act (Act 399 PA 1976, as amended) for a specified geographic area of the state. The district engineer position is a recognized resource position, requiring independent decisions concerning engineering concept and design, operation, and maintenance of community public water supplies as those decisions relate to public health and the administration of the Act and to be a Licensed Professional Engineer, responsible for review, approval, and issuance of construction permits for all water supply facilities in the district. The district engineer is the primary contact with the community water supplies to fulfill these requirements.</p> <p>Position Description - Env Engineer Lcnd 12</p> <p>WE ARE RECRUITING TO FILL (2) POSITIONS WITH THIS POSTING</p> <p>The work location for this position is the Grand Rapids District Office. However, the selected candidate may be eligible for a hybrid work schedule (combination of remote and in-person) work schedule. Employees approved for schedules that include remote work must complete that work within Michigan. Relocation expenses are not reimbursed. When working remote, employees must use a designated workspace that is safe and professionally appropriate, allows for privacy, minimizes distractions, and includes secure internet access. Details regarding work location and schedule options for this position may be discussed during the interview process.Education</p> <p>Possession of a bachelor's degree in engineering.</p> <p>Experience</p> <p>Environmental Engineer 9</p> <p>No specific type or amount is required.</p> <p>Environmental Engineer 10</p> <p>One year of professional environmental engineering experience in the protection and improvement of land and water resources, occupational health, or air quality equivalent to an Environmental Engineer 9.</p> <p>Environmental Engineer P11</p> <p>Two years of professional environmental engineering experience in the protection and improvement of land and water resources, occupational health, or air quality equivalent to an Environmental Engineer, including one year equivalent to Environmental Engineer 10.</p> <p>Environmental Engineer Licensed 12</p> <p>Three years of professional environmental engineering experience in the protection and improvement of land and water resources, occupational health, or air quality equivalent to an Environmental Engineer, including one year equivalent to an Environmental Engineer P11.</p> <p>ABOUT EGLE:</p> <p>The Department of Environment, Great Lakes, and Energy's (EGLE) mission is to protect Michigan's environment and public health by managing air, water, land, and energy resources.</p> <p>At the Department of Environment, Great Lakes, and Energy, we are passionate about protecting human health and Michigan's land, water, and energy resources.
