<p>UIHC department of Material Services is seeking a full-time Supply Chain Coordinator on 1st shift. This position will be scheduled 8:00 AM to 4:30 PM with rotating weekends (every 6th weekend). The position supports supply chain operations in the hospital storeroom. The major functions of the position is to provide functional and administrative supervisor of the second shift staff members in hospital stores. The position is also responsible for resolving Omnicell issues throughout the organization.</p> <ul> <li>Physically receive, store, and distribute medical supplies. </li><li>Operate hand controlled material handling equipment normally associated with unloading and loading trucks in a shipping and receiving dock setting as well as using push carts to move medical supplies throughout the building as required. </li><li>Update inventory and receipt transactions within PeopleSoft. </li><li>Replenish the Omnicell automated supply medical cabinets and update inventory balances as required, troubleshoot as necessary. </li><li>Respond to questions and concerns of clinic customers, assess issues and solve problems in a timely professional manner. </li><li>Determine staffing needs for the unit on second shift, work with staff to trade hours to accommodate vacations/leaves without paying premium wages to cover the work that needs to be completed. </li><li>Manage budget when identifying inventory discrepancies, locate missing product and accurately make adjustment in electronic inventory system to appropriately charge out for products. </li><li>Manager on duty for receiving dock on second shift for the major Owens & Minor (65% of hospital supplies) delivery truck daily. In charge of verifying receiving of product, notify procurement of discrepancies to ensure only charged for products received. </li><li>Review usage reports from Omnicells, track product stock outs and make par level recommendations accordingly. </li></ul> <p>Pay Level: 3B</p> <p>Professional and Scientific Pay Structures | University Human Resources - The University of Iowa (uiowa.edu)</p> <p>Required Qualifications:</p> <ul> <li>A Bachelor's degree or an equivalent combination of education and experience is required. </li><li>One year of relevant experience in areas such as supply management, receiving, warehousing, distribution, or other comparable operational roles. </li><li>Previous experience supervising or directing the work of others. </li><li>Experience or knowledge of applying procedures, methods, and techniques commonly used to receive, store, and distribute products. </li><li>Experience with establishing, building, and sustaining effective and cooperative relationships with superiors, subordinates, or peers within your own work unit or organization or with any other persons perceived to have a stake in enabling, enhancing, or receiving services or products furnished by your work unit or organization. </li><li>Ability to form and manage effective teams. </li><li>Knowledge of and ability to plan, mobilize and distribute resources to fulfill business objectives and plans. </li></ul> <p>Desired Qualifications:</p> <ul> <li>Experience developing and using tools, techniques, and practices for updating and maintaining inventory and/or distribution functions within automated inventory system. </li><li>Two years of experience replenishing and maintaining Omnicell automated supply cabinets </li><li>Two years of experience updating PeopleSoft receiving and inventory transaction screens. </li><li>Experience running and utilizing PeopleSoft queries. </li><li>Experience and basic proficiency utilizing Microsoft Excel spreadsheets to maintain or analyze data. </li><li>One year experience working within a hospital or multi clinical healthcare setting. </li><li>Knowledge of HIPPA patient privacy guidelines and Joint Commission and Hospital Safety & Security recommendations pertaining to infection control practices and the safe storage and transport of hospital medical supplies. </li></ul> <p>Position and Application details:</p> <p>In order to be considered for an interview, applicants must upload the following documents and mark them as required to the submission:</p> <ul> <li>Resume </li></ul> <p>Job openings are posted for a minimum of 7 calendar days.
