Our physician led medical group enjoys an excellent reputation with patients and the medical community, offering primary care, urgent care and more than 30 different specialties.</p> <p>Job Summary</p> <p>Patient Service Coordinators are responsible for providing outstanding and professional customer service and ensure efficiency to promote a positive patient experience.</p> <p>This role provides coverage at 11 regional Urgent Care sites bringing variety to your workday and the chance to collaborate across multiple teams and communities.</p> <p>Duties include but are not limited to:</p> <ul> <li>Welcomes patients in person or on the telephone and takes detailed messages as needed. </li><li>Registers arriving patients, includes insurance verifications, patient demographic updates, and video visits </li><li>Uses Epic, patient portal and appointment reminder systems, mobile applications, and other forms of technology to manage scheduling, interact with patients and providers, and update files and patients' records. </li><li>Manages high call volumes. </li><li>Corresponds with clinical operations and/or providers as necessary. </li><li>Schedules patient appointments, and informs patients of essential preparation requirements prior to visit (referrals, x-rays, medical reports, etc.). </li><li>Schedules follow-up appointments and associated testing, documents these appointments and ensures the necessary referral authorization is obtained. </li><li>Monitors and maintains front desk related work lists and work queues, including authorization work queues. </li><li>One year of relevant experience in a fast-paced medical office strongly preferred </li><li>Epic experience preferred </li><li>Occupational Health and medical scheduling experience preferred </li></ul> <p>With locations around the state, Hartford HealthCare offers exciting opportunities for career development and growth.
