<p>DESCRIPTION</p> <p>As a Customer Advisor I , you'll be a trusted partner who turns retail data into actionable category strategies -helping clients and customer teams improve assortment, space, merchandising, and pricing decisions. You'll collaborate cross-functionally, bring insights to life through compelling storytelling, and support execution in-market through store visits and audits.</p> <p>RESPONSIBILITIES</p> <ul> <li> <p>Support category management execution for a designated customer by helping implement category strategies, business insights initiatives, and customer-ready recommendations that drive growth. [</p> </li><li> <p>Build strong partnerships with business managers and client stakeholders to help develop and advance strategic category plans aligned to retailer and client objectives</p> </li><li> <p>Participate in routine market/customer visits alongside business managers and clients to advance category initiatives, validate insights, and strengthen working relationships.</p> </li><li> <p>Conduct store audits and field checks to evaluate assortment, shelf space, merchandising execution, and pricing across assigned categories-then translate findings into practical actions.</p> </li><li> <p>Help deliver category management reviews by supporting business managers and/or space technologists in preparing and presenting customer-facing category reviews and insights.</p> </li><li> <p>Analyze and refresh insights presentations for assigned clients, ensuring the story is clear, persuasive, and grounded in reliable data.</p> </li><li> <p>Maintain frequent internal and external communication with category managers and key customer personnel to keep projects moving, remove roadblocks, and support the category management process end-to-end</p> </li><li> <p>Coordinate with shared analytics partners (CSBI) to manage timelines and ensure base presentations are completed accurately and on schedule to meet customer team needs.</p> </li><li> <p>Partner with CSBI to manage and update syndicated databases used for customer, client, and/or market reviews-supporting clean, current inputs for analysis.</p> </li><li> <p>Use syndicated and customer data sources (e.g., IRI , Nielsen/ACNielsen -type scanning data, POS , and loyalty data ) to generate insights that inform category recommendations and performance reviews.</p> </li><li> <p>Take on additional responsibilities as assigned , supporting continuous improvement and team priorities.</p> </li></ul> <p>QUALIFICATIONS</p> <p>Education & Certifications</p> <ul> <li> <p>Certified Professional Strategic Advisor (CPSA) certification required.</p> </li><li> <p>Bachelor's degree or equivalent combination of education and relevant experience preferred.</p> </li></ul> <p>Experience</p> <ul> <li> <p>5+ years of experience in category management, sales, business insights, analytics, or related CPG/retail roles .</p> </li><li> <p>Proven experience supporting customer- or client-facing category initiatives , including data-driven recommendations and in-market execution.</p> </li></ul> <p>Technical & Analytical Skills</p> <ul> <li> <p>Demonstrated experience working with syndicated data and analytics systems , with a strong understanding of how data is generated, maintained, and applied to business decisions.</p> </li><li> <p>Hands-on experience with IRI and Nielsen / ACNielsen syndicated data platforms and related tools.</p> </li><li> <p>Proficiency in Windows-based applications , including spreadsheets, presentations, databases, email, and reporting tools.</p> </li><li> <p>Ability to analyze complex data sets and translate insights into clear, compelling stories and recommendations for internal teams and customers.</p> </li></ul> <p>Communication & Collaboration</p> <ul> <li> <p>Excellent written and verbal communication skills , with confidence presenting insights to internal partners and external customers.</p> </li><li> <p>Strong ability to collaborate cross-functionally with business managers, category managers, analytics partners (CSBI), and customer teams .</p> </li><li> <p>Comfortable building relationships and influencing outcomes in a fast-paced, matrixed environment .</p> </li></ul> <p>Core Competencies & Ways of Working</p> <ul> <li> <p>Strong sense of ownership and urgency -you take initiative, follow through, and act like an owner.</p> </li><li> <p>Collaborative, team-oriented mindset with the ability to partner effectively with sales teams and retail customers.</p> </li><li> <p>Intellectual curiosity and creativity , with the ability to ask the right questions and uncover shopper and retailer insights.</p> </li><li> <p>Highly organized and detail-oriented , with strong project management and prioritization skills.</p> </li><li> <p>Sales-minded and consultative , with an understanding of retailer pain points, client objectives, space analytics, and shopper behavior.</p> </li><li> <p>Skilled in storytelling with data , able to connect macro trends to in-store implications and category opportunities across the total store.</p> </li></ul> <p>#DisocverYourPath</p> <p>ABOUT US</p> <p>Acosta, and its subsidiaries, is an Equal Opportunity Employer</p> <p>Job Category: Marketing</p> <p>Position Type: Full time</p> <p>Business Unit: Sales</p> <p>Salary Range: $52,200.00 - $65,200.00</p> <p>Company: Acosta Employee Holdco LLC</p> <p>Req ID: 21827</p>
