<p>Overview</p> <p>2nd shift Laser Operator at our Wayland, Michigan location.</p> <p>Pay commensurate with experience</p> <p>2nd shift premium = $1.50 p/hr.</p> <p>Sign-on Bonus $1,000</p> <p>PTO upon hire, Benefits after 30 days</p> <p>Work week is Mon. through Fri., 2pm to 10pm.</p> <p>Currently working overtime, during the week and also Sat. and some Sun.</p> <p>Responsibilities</p> <p>A role like this comes with some important responsibilities which include:</p> <ul> <li>Use hard gages and calipers to confirm part quality </li><li>Utilize forklift and crane to load material into machine </li><li>Operate and troubleshoot machine parameters to ensure premium part quality </li><li>Perform daily preventative maintenance and typically set up multiple jobs per day </li><li>Utilize prints and work instructions to determine cutting specifications </li></ul> <p>Qualifications</p> <ul> <li>Ability to understand work orders and follow instructions </li><li>Work with little direction (other than standard procedures) </li><li>Having laser experience is preferred, especially Tube Laser </li><li>Ability to understand and follow at MEC safety policies and procedures </li><li>Demonstrate a dedication to achieving results and be able to sustain high drive and energy </li><li>Knowledge of tubular steel manufacturing and fabrication processes is a PLUS! </li></ul>
