<p>Finance Associate</p> <p>Job Description</p> <p>Reports To: Controller</p> <p>Department: Finance</p> <p>Division: Northern Division</p> <p>Location: Headquarters</p> <p>Summary: Provides administrative support of Finance functions. Maintains strict confidentiality and integrity of finance information.</p> <p>Essential Duties and Responsibilities</p> <p>include the following:</p> <ul> <li>Reviews expense reports, freight invoices and other vendor invoices for accuracy and enters them on accounts payable; </li><li>Assists accounts payable team with check/ACH process by matching invoices to checks in preparation for check signers to review; </li><li>Support payables processes by organizing checks for mailing; attaches related documentation to check to invoices; </li><li>Administrative support for accounts payable, including invoice printing, record keeping, organizing and filing all payments, and moving older payments to storage as appropriate; </li><li>Supports accounts receivable by reviewing and releasing South division pricing holds; </li><li>Creates A/R credit memos; </li><li>Enters Mack South credits into XA system; </li><li>Maintains master price list for Mack South. </li><li>Supports Mack South AR billing; </li><li>Learns various jobs within department in order to provide backup. </li><li>Other duties as assigned. </li></ul> <p>Competency:</p> <p>To perform the job successfully, an individual should demonstrate the following competencies:</p> <p>Problem Solving - Identifies and resolves problems in a timely manner; Gathers and analyzes information skillfully; Uses reason even when dealing with emotional topics.</p> <p>Interpersonal - Focuses on solving conflict, not blaming; Maintains confidentiality; Listens to others without interrupting; Keeps emotions under control; Remains open to others' ideas and tries new things.</p> <p>Oral Communication - Speaks clearly and persuasively in positive or negative situations; Listens and gets clarification; Responds well to questions; Demonstrates group presentation skills; Participates in meetings.</p> <p>Written Communication - Writes clearly and informatively; Edits work for spelling and grammar; Varies writing style to meet needs; Presents numerical data effectively; Able to read and interpret written information.</p> <p>Organizational Support - Follows policies and procedures; Completes administrative tasks correctly and on time; Supports organization's goals and values.</p> <p>Adaptability - Adapts to changes in the work environment; Manages competing demands; Changes approach or method to best fit the situation; Able to deal with frequent change, delays, or unexpected events.</p> <p>Professionalism - Approaches others in a tactful manner; Reacts well under pressure; Treats others with respect and consideration regardless of their status or position; Accepts responsibility for own actions; Follows through on commitments.</p> <p>Qualifications:</p> <p>To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions.</p> <p>Education/Experience:</p> <p>Associate's Degree from an accredited college or university; plus one to three years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.</p> <p>Language Ability:</p> <p>Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals. Ability to write routine reports and correspondence. Ability to speak effectively before groups of customers or employees of organization.</p> <p>Math Ability:</p> <p>Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals. Ability to compute rate, ratio, and percent and to draw and interpret bar graphs.</p> <p>Reasoning Ability:</p> <p>Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists. Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form.</p> <p>Computer Skills:</p> <p>To perform this job successfully, an individual should have knowledge of Word Processing software, Spreadsheet software, Microsoft Access, Agile, and XA.</p> <p>Work Environment:</p> <p>The work environment characteristics described here are representative of those an employee encounters while performing the essential functions of this job.
